Great pen, but the 600 model feels tiny little better
I have many Rotring pens and mechanical pencils. All are 600 model pen and this is my first Rapid Pro pen. All seems similar, great writing experiences, weight and balance very similarly great. The only difference, apart from appearance and rounder /less angular body, is that button click is not as smooth as the 600 model pen. Both are already good, but all 600 pens are so smooth and satisfying that can serve like fidget. As the price of pens fluctuates online, and for different colours, when 600 model is cheaper than Rapid Pro, I’d definitely get 600 again. Guess I’d still get 600 even if it’s slightly pricier than Rapid Pro. But they’re both great anyway and won’t feel letdown if you’re not owning both pens.

Heavy but lovely
I'm really not sure why I like this pen so much. It's heavy, a little ugly, and the blue ink it comes with is a horrible colour (I only use black)But I really like writing with it, it's well balanced and feels good in the hand. It also feels very well made and I expect it to last a long time.

Great pen from Rotring. (new line)
LOVE IT!Now I have Rotring 800+ pencil, Retro51 Hexomatic pen, Redcircle pencil (Chinese clone of Rotring 600) and in most cases i will choose Rapid Pro for writing (if I cannot use my Levenger L-Tech fountain pen). Reasons:- great weight,- not as flimsy as Hexomatic (which could really be a great pen, if only they done their job a bit better),- very pleasant finishing,- finer and more aggressive knurling, which I like.cons (minor):- plastic part that connects 2 parts of the body.- press button on a black version will catch if pressed with an angle (silver version is OK as it is polished),- clip is a bit too strong.- it is not a 800+ :)Real minus for me - facets are rounded and are smaller that grip and clip section. So the ball will roll on the table (800+ and Hexomatic will not). So - just be aware of this.

Perfect pen & pencil
I have both the pen and pencil in the Pro range, I find them great quality and comfortable to use day in and day out. Can’t recommend highly enough

Sturdy but expensive pen.
My use is one of jotting down notes and quick diagrams. Weight wise it has a quality feel to it. compared to a Parker jotter this feels more sturdy but then again the cost is a lot higher. The grip is slightly abrasive and takes some getting use to. The mechanism is smooth and light. In comparison the Parker jotter is tight and a very positive action. The pen is smooth to write however because of the long profile and grip it favours someone with a closer grip to the nib and one that holds the pen more upright. A relaxed grip grip that means the pen is more perpendicular to the page results in a scratchy feel when writing. The pen is very slender and as such can be held while manipulating a mouse or using a keyboard with ease. My desk is littered with pens and I tend to grab what's at hand but with this I have used it along with its pencil counterpart. So from that perspective I think it's been a good buy . If the pen body came in more colours I could see myself buying a few and having different inks in each one. One note the black body looks nice and feels nice but the abrasive grip holds onto dirt and quickly looks grimy. Go for the silver one.

Good weight and durable.
This pen has withstood some abuse. It's been a few months and I've yet to change the cartridge after daily use. It's been dropped, thrown, used as a pry tool, the list goes on. And the weight makes it satisfying to fidget with and spin in your fingers!

Get a grip - this does
As a long standing fan of Rotring products, I adore this pen. It’s slim but not too slim and it feels right in the hand and it delivers a highly technical experience with the milled grip. And it looks very professional too. Highly recommended.

Nice, "industrial" design let down by cheap internal mechanism
I really liked the design and the all-metal body construction of this pen. Unfortunately the internal mechanism that activates and retracts the pen tip is mostly made of plastic components and, if like me you like to play with your pen and click it randomly, over time those plastic parts round out or just straight-up break, rendering the pen useless. This pen lasted a little over a month or so before it broke, which was incredibly disappointing.
