Simple idea giving piece of mind.
I have the standard "comfort" charging sockets on all my bikes and the farm quad etc. I chose this indicator one to fit to my touring bike. It only gets used for camping trips so it tends to sit for long periods. Ordinarily I just stick it on charge once a month but using this clever wee device I can top it up exactly when it needs it.The LEDs are easy to see and the cable is easily long enough to route it from the battery terminals to the outside of the bike frame. The cable insulation feels like good quality as are the eyelets and the socket itself.Smart idea that should help extend the battery life.

Very useful add on for your car/van/boat etc.
Having a couple of CTEK chargers with the 'Comfort Connector' on them which are used to keep the batteries on our cars charged, these are a very simple and very useful device to out on your 12V system. Our cars have the batteries buried in the boot, no alternator/battery state gauge on the dash and just a pair of heavy nuts under the bonnet for jump starting.Checking the battery state normally requires the use of a voltmeter. No longer. I have this device connected across the two terminals under the bonnet, and I can instantly see the colour of the LED and therefore if I need to do something about the battery state. Thanks to the comfort connectors I simply plug a couple of 2.5m extension between the cars and the charger and let it get on with it. No croc clips, no open bonnet or boot whilst charging so the cars are secure at all times. If someone should forget to disconnect and just drives off with the charger still connected then these connectors just pull apart. No risk of fire because the live side is fused. If done properly then there is a water resistant cover that weather proofs the socket.

Seems fine.
Working well only time will tell.

A bit short
This accessory extension allows you to wire a connector permanently into the car loom, and have an easy connection for the charger. The 3 LEDs show the state of the battery charge (Green Amber or Red) flash occasionally to indicate charge state. It does this by monitoring the battery voltage, and as such this is dependent on the drain on the battery and the temperature too. The voltage on Lead Acid batteries dip when they are asked to supply a current, and it takes a short time for the voltage to pick up afterwards. The act of unlocking and opening a door or bonnet is often enough to make the indicator drop to yellow from green as it did with me on a brand new fully charged battery!Plumbing the cable into the car is a doddle, on my car, the eyelets are bolted on to the main cable entry point from the battery in the fuse box and a nearby earth, so the connections are in a dry place. Annoyingly the cable is too short for the connector to reach outside the engine bay, even if it were on the battery itself (say to behind the grille) where it could be reached easily without having to pop the bonnet when you need to charge, or condition the battery. So minus a star for not supplying a metre or metre and half of cable with it and expecting me to buy a bigger extension Ctek! One thing I would like to see though is a magnetic connector between the charger and the extension - then if you forget and start to move the car, the cable would break away easily without damage. Plus it would be good if a magnet was built into the rubber case of the socket, then it would hold itself firmly against a bulkhead or other location. I wrapped a flat magnet to the connector with gaffa tape to do the job.

An excellent product
Ok. So I bought this as my car was getting battery drain completely unexplained. With this, it will show the continuous battery levels ...and backfil any data when the phone is away from the car.Utterly brilliant device ..and keeps me on top of battery health of the car...when in lockdown it just wasn't getting used.I had 2 ctek chargers fail in the decade...so it led me thinking the car was trickled..but wasn't and then the ensuing getting into the car..open the bonnet...charge the battery again etcStrongly recommend this product. Does what you want from it ..and installs easy quick onto the battery
