Very nice, easily warmed up . Have had shea butter from another company which I found quite gritty. This one is a lot smoother, does have a ‘buttery’ aroma to it. I like it in my skin after a shower, I tried it on my frizzy hair - rubbed it in and covered with a towel for 30 but didn’t see much of an improvement. Maybe I have to try that more frequently.It very firm but softens up when rubbed in my hands prior to applying. It can also be warmed up in the microwave.

I have had eczema since I was an early teenager and I have tried every product under the sun to try and rid the rashes and redness associated with it. I have tried everything my GP had to offer; from steroid cream, medical type emollients - creams, shower gels and bath soaks and to be honest they’ve never done much for me. They have at times provided some relief but it has been very temporary and the eczema returns to full force the second I stop using it excessively and constantly. I have also tried things like lush’s dream cream and random products here and there and again they didn’t even make a dent in my eczema.I happened to find myself researching for new things to try as I recently had a worse than normal flare-up which I attribute to the heatwave we’re currently having in the UK and severe hayfever as they are supposedly all linked.I came across this product and I thought I’d give it a shot but I had zero expectation as I’ve tried many products that claim to help and never did anything. It arrived and I applied it straight away. It can be melted down to an oil which makes it easier to apply but I find this too much hassle. I just want to use it as soon as I feel like it so I scoop it out and rub it hard between my hands and it melts down quickly but due to its thickness - it isn’t easy to spread and you need to rub hard to really work it into the skin.But I can forgive this as I kid you not, after the first application to all the spots affected by eczema, I woke up the next morning and my eczema had pretty much vanished. Some of the more angry patches were still ever so faintly red but after a second application...gone! I have been using this daily now for over a week and all my eczema is gone and completely under control.I have also been using it on my face and I’ve actually had compliments from a few people on how nice and healthy my skin looked. I also love that it’s a natural sunscreen as I’m also a redhead which makes it the perfect product for me.I read some of the reviews which complained of the smell but I find the smell to be very faint and it’s not a bad smell. It’s just not like all these highly scented and fragranced commercial products you find in most shops, which I personally associate with being an irritant so when a product smells strong. I tend to avoid it.This product is a god send for people with eczema. I’m telling you now - buy this if you suffer with it and you will not be disappointed. My skin hasn’t felt this good in a few years. It ticks all the boxes and has additional benefits outside of just eczema which no medical type or commercial product will ever do.I plan on buying a lot more soon.

I bought this because I have very dry skin as well as eczema an psoriasis and whilst I didn't buy it specifically to treat them, I wanted to find a natural moisturiser to calm the rest of my skin. I don't know if it was just the pot I received but the butter is very and granular and getting it out of the pot requires a fair bit of effort. However, as soon as it warms up it melts very easily and spreads pretty easily on the skin.The problem for me was that it never really absorbed into the skin and instead I had an oily residue that just sat on top of the skin and would stain anything it came into contact with. Then there is the smell. I would say that it is over powering but maybe that's just me. I could get used to it I guess but it's not particularly nice. So whilst it did do an excellent job of moisturising my skin and completely prevented itchy and painful patches from appearing, it just wasn't practical and so stopped using it.

My skin gets so dry and cracked, but this stuff fixes it right up and leaves my skin so smooth with none of the toxic chemicals of typical lotions.
