This is worth its weight in gold! I have a stressed border terrier due to a sore paw, I spray this on a bandana. Literally calms him down within a minute.

Pet Remedy - the miracle remedy for stressed pets
Brilliant product! Had to buy this 'in an emergency' some months ago as I was getting desperate to try anything to help a new cat settle with my existing two - and had tried everything else. Myself and a few friends have the 'difficult to home' rescues - the ones that no one else would take due to their behaviour so it is always a slower process than normal to get these pets really settled. This seemed to be the first product that has actually helped. After the experience with my 'new cat' introductions I have used it with friends who have dogs who are nervous around Bonfire Night, with stressed rabbits, with another friend who's dog gets too excited about everything! That particular dog would be a nightmare if I was in the car with them - she would clamber all over me for how ever long the journey was - so I'd regularly have an hour or so of being trampled (which was not just unpleasant but also dangerous). The first time I used it on her I just sprayed some on a flannel and as soon as she started just gave her the flannel to tug at (in stead of my clothes) and it worked like a charm - within seconds she was already calmer and in under 5 minutes she was the most relaxed in the car that she had ever been. Since then I won't be around any 'skittish' animals without having this product handy as it really does work and makes situations a lot less stressful for them. It has a very 'unusual' aroma - which can take a bit of getting used to - but it just smells 'natural' - sort of strangely herbal (which I find much better than synthetic chemicals of some others.) I am so confident in this product that on this occasion I have bought multiple bottles so that other friends with problem pets can use this too. It really has helped every pet - cat, dog or rabbit - that I have used it on.

It works!
The smell isn't unpleasant to me, just a musty plant-type odour. It certainly calms my cat - makes her go quite dopey and silly. She's a nervous rescued cat. She was fine when she first came, then we started having toilet problems - she tipped over her litter tray and it frightened her so she refused to go in there again and wouldn't go outdoors. Started peeing on the carpet by the front door even though she has unlimited access outdoors via cat flap in back door. Even though I got a shallower tray that she couldn't tip over, she was still peeing on the carpet. I used the spray to encourage her to use the shallow litter tray. I removed the hall carpet - she's stopped peeing on the floor. I'm now using the spray to encourage her to use the bigger litter tray again as well as the shallow one, and we're getting there. Eventually I hope she will use just the big tray by the back door and phase out the shallow one. If she seems stressed about anything I put some spray on my hand and stroke it under her chin. She certainly likes it and it chills her out. I don't need to use it often, and I envisage the spray will last some time as a little goes a long way.

I did not notice any difference
I really wanted this to work, and I pretty much emptied the bottle after using it every day but I did not notice any difference in my dog and he was still nervous. I'm giving it 3 stars as the scent is pleasant enough, and the bottle was sturdy and sprayed ok from full to empty (I tried another brand and the quality of the bottle was not good). Maybe it will work for your dog but pretty pricey for no difference whatsoever.

It Actually Works :-) :-) :-)
In October 2015 a friend of mine gave me a little of this spray that she had left as I’d one very nervous Shetland Sheepdog who was just less than 1 year old, (he was frightened of anything strange that moved, he was even frightened of his own shadow when the sun was out). Our youngest had already started taking skullcap and valerian in tablet form in early September but that wasn’t enough on its own, as he was still a little jumpy at certain things in strange places. So we started using this spray on his fur when he was going somewhere different and before he went to obedience class. It’s worked extremely well and has helped him immensely. It really relaxes him and he’s able to cope with everyday life as he’s not keen on loud and unfamiliar noises, it’s giving him the confidence to explore his world a little more outside the safety of his home without being terrified of things he’s not seen or heard before. The spray does have a pungent smell when first sprayed but it soon disappears. This isn’t just for dogs but can be used on cats, rodents, horses and birds. The main ingredients of the spray are a special proven blend of Valerian essential oil, blended with Vetivert, Basil Sweet and Sage. It’s safe to spray directly on your pet, but not recommended where they can lick it off. You can also to spray on bedding, carpet, soft furnishings and in your car, (onto a dog cover).I can highly recommend it as it’s certainly helped our little Sheltie and he’s certainly more relaxed in his everyday life. :-)
