These dumbbells are really quick and simple to use. A huge improvement on the old York set I had with plastic locks.My only niggles with it are reflected by other reviewers.Firstly some cast iron 1 inch weights have holes that slide over the dumbbells handle, meaning you *must* add an M24 washer before you load them.Secondly on their own they weigh approx 1.7kg, which needs to be factored in when loading them.Other suggestions in the reviews have been adding pvc tubing which although I'm sure may improve comfort isn't something I've felt necessary so far.Altogether they are comfortable, easy to use and ideal for daily use. They are very simple to adjust mid workout which is hugely beneficial compared to other brands. Can't speak to longevity as the rubber washers look likely to be a part that might perish over time, though should be easily replaced as they are simple o-ring gaskets

The bars are a good weight and feel quality. The spin locks are good too. They weigh about 1.6kg each with spin locks. Some plates I have seem to slip over so washers are essential.

Got these as a replacement to the York ones I had for years as they had broken, these ones are much better and the grip feels more natural in the hands

Products only delivered and unwrapped yesterday, and have yet to use them. They match their set of Proiron dumbbells I bought some three years ago. Together with the four additional Proiron 2.5kg weight plates I purchased at the same time, they will enlarge the range of simple exercises I now do routinely. Saves messing about changing weight plates every time I want to carry out a different exercise, at least that is the intention. Used to be a regular at a nearby gym for 13 years, but stopped going during Covid. My garage is now my gym, complete with two benches, one just for the barbell set. It ain’t a perfect set-up, but it works for me. Am 77 now, and have no intention of slowing down for a good while yet.

Bought these as my original dumbbells were too long. I would rate these as 5 star except one of the dumbbell clips has a bad thread so won’t screw on the bar meaning I can only use one dumbbell.It’s a minor issue and just sending out a replacement clip would resolve this except the Amazon/Product combo needs me to return the full item which is completely unboxed and unnecessary!So, sadly I can’t recommend the product as there must be a QA issue and I’d buy elsewhere (not Amazon) in future as I’m sure they would facilitate the very simple fix.
