TASSIMO Bosch Vivy 2 TAS1402GB Coffee Machine, 1300 Watt, 0.7 Litre - Black

I've bought a few things in the past which have made my life easier, better, more enjoyable etc, etc. from Satnavs to stubble trimmers, but this little beauty is a real gem. Was meaning to buy a coffee machine for the last 2 years, but never got round to it, and was finally tempted by the Bosch Tassimo offer - I'm so glad I did. Unbelievable value at forty quid, and bought it with the Kenco Grande Americano pods, which are really close to the taste of most coffee shop Americano's I've certainly tasted. Great value too, I received 80 pods for about £17 delivered, so around 20 odd pence per cup. Perfect strongish coffee with lovely frothy top! I use filtered or Bottled water as recommended. I'm sure it tastes better and helps prevent scaling. Had a small issue with the red warning light appearing (preventing normal operation, usually showing low water level) but soon realised that the bar code lens in the pod holder needed a wipe, and no more problems. You know you're about to enjoy your coffee when the kitchen fills with that coffee shop aroma. The machine wakes up as soon as you pop in a pod, does it thing and goes to sleep again soon after. It's an absolute steal at the price and I can't recommend it highly enough! We'll done Bosch, Tassimo and Kenco, you've brightened up my mornings!

I have been using this Bosch Tassimo Vivy 2 for almost three weeks now and I love it. It's compact and fits nicely in the tea and coffee area of my worktop (where the kettle and supplies are) and it's well designed. There's quite a few different pods to use to suit most coffee, tea or chocolate tastes. I use mine mostly for coffee but I will try the chocolate pods in the winter. It's easy to use, just put the milk pod in first (if milk required) and press one button, remove the milk pod and put in a coffee pod and press the button again. The result is hot frothy coffee - lovely. Thus far the Jacobs Latte Macchiato Caramel is my favourite but I also like the Cappuccino and Cafe Crema. There's three indicator lights. The main one is on when the machine is ready to use, it flashes on and off when the pod holder is locked and hot water is filling the cup and stays on when the hot water has finished filling the cup and the pod can be safely removed. The 2nd light indicates when the water tank needs filling and the 3rd lights when the machine needs descaling. Couldn't be simpler. I paid £45 for my Tassimo which came with two £10 vouchers for use on the Tassimo site. Extraordinary when considering the cost paid in the first place. I have used the £20 towards my first pod supplies and a very nice pod holder. Very happy purchaser.

My interest was piqued when I saw a tv offer for coffee machines for 1p but after looking on Amazon found this little beauty. It’s small so doesn’t take up much more space than a toaster. It’s very easy to set up, easy to clean and very quick to get a lovely cup of your favourite coffee! I’ve had it now for about 2 weeks and just today I discovered a little tip! I was making a Cadbury’s chocolate and the tank needed a refill of water, I noticed that the kettle had been recently boiled so filled the tank with that. It wasn’t absolutely boiling, it was just hot. Now, when a hot chocolate is made just using the water in the tank, it leaves a lot of “wet” chocolate powder in the pod, wasting a lot of the lovely powder, perhaps the temperature in the machine just gets hot enough, but when I removed the pod after using the hot water in the tank, the pod was virtually empty! It made a difference to the taste, and the drink was overall just hotter. (The kettle is always on in our house, so can’t see any increase in using more electricity) Maybe someone will shoot me down in flames for this but it worked for me and if it saves wasting stuff then it can only be a good thing.

Great coffee machine. The reason I gave it 4 stars is it doesn't make the drinks as hot as I like. Otherwise good choice of the discs available and perfect if its just for you or 2 of you

Bought this as a present for my husband. I can honestly say it is well worth every penny... it makes beautiful latte macchiatos and so so easy to use. It’s compact and doesn’t take all of your worktop space up - fab if you’ve only got a small kitchen or if you’re like me and like your worktops as clutter free as possible. This model does our favourite brand of coffee (L’or) and also Twinings breakfast tea. In comparison to your normal kettle, teabag/coffee, personally I think it’s nicer! And takes less time to make - winner winner! I paid £29.99 for this in the Black Friday sale.... it was worth every penny.... if not more! Great value for money. The pods do work out cheaper to buy in a bulk on amazon than buying from the supermarket. Keep an eye out on the lightening deal as I got mine from there at a very good price. Overall, couldn’t be happier!

My second Tassimo machine, after few years of not owning one. I changed about four years ago to the Nespresso system and then to B2C. I still have the Nespresso and am very happy with it, nevertheless the Tassimo is just great for the longer coffees, so I decided to get one again after my B2C very expensive machine developed a grinder fault. And I'm very happy I did. The mugs of coffee are delicious and really really hot. The sortiment of Tassimo coffees changed a bit in the past four years and apparently the milk is very different. However as I use Nespresso for the milky drinks I can't comment on that. The black long coffees are usually 215ml or more and that is what I got the machine for. The machine itself is great, very easy to take care of and various parts are dishwasher safe which is great. I will stay with Tassimo for the forseeable future, it makes my mornings much more pleasant.

Cheapest price I could get online from Amazon comparing to other seller at the time of purchase. Lovely little gadget for coffee lover. Initial cleaning process (before 1st use) had fault with red light. I tried to resolved it in 10 mins. It was ok in the end. Now it makes thing easier and more tidy making a nice cup of coffee. Very compact and small in size to squeeze into the space left on the worktop. In addition, there are a lot of variety discs suitable for Tassimo. Very easy to use even my 9year-old daughter can make herself a hot chocolate in the morning. Hope the cost of coffee discs would be cheaper in near future if it becomes a household "Must have item" just like your toaster and kettle. :)

So, as the title suggests, this is indeed my first coffee machine so if you're looking for a reviewer with previous experience with coffee machines keep looking lol Personally, I love it. I did extensive research on automatic pod-based coffee machines. I was >THIS< close to buying a Dolce Gusto...until I woke up, realised it looked stupid and this one had much better reviews so I bought this one instead. There aren't really any third party pods compatible with the Tassimo due to the pods using barcodes so the machine knows exactly how much water to use, but official compatible pods are obviously gonna be better anyways. I only received mine today, setting it up was a breeze. Use the Service T-Disc and cycle the machine 4 times before use. I haven't had any experience in descaling it but it seems simple. Apparently it requires descaling every couple months if used daily and especially if it hasn't been used in months. Give it 24 hours after descaling for it to 'unlock' I don't know what that means though, if you can tell me, please do. Anyways, if you haven't had a coffee maker before and aren't willing to break the bank, buy this one, I'm super happy with it and you will be too!
