I am perimenopausal now at age 46 with naturally graying hair. You know how gray hair is a bit drier and frizzier than non-gray hair. So yes, I've been struggling with my hair since my 40s... Can't believe I've only discovered the wonders of sulfate and silicone free shampoo and conditioner on my hair only recently while I went on holiday and there was only sulfate and silicone free hair products provided in my hotel. I was so impressed. Couldn't find it in this country, but bought the NYK1 line of products and was not disappointed at all. For the past 3 decades of my life, I thought my hair was naturally frizzy and dry and I never thought the culprit was just the shampoo and conditioners I was using. But 3 decades ago, there weren't really sulfate free shampoos easily available...I used to have a complicated routine of shampooing, conditioning, then rubbing in hair oils filled with silicones, before drying my hair, in order to control frizz. It did a decent job but still weighed my hair down. This NYK1 DUO however, leaves my hair feeling light, yet any frizz is gone. My hair looks shinier and healthier. There are no silicones and the coconut oils in this product are so light and don't weigh hair down. I wish I discovered sulfate free shampoos sooner!

I love how this keeps my hair piece lovely and clean and refreshed. The conditioner helps with the tangles.It has a great smell to it and comes with handy 'pump' action tops. Take the other ones off and replace with the pump action ones, makes them so easy to use when in the shower.

What can say but OMFG!!!!!!My only advice is to follow the instructions, but if you have long hair 2 pumps for your roots and 2 pumps for the ends. And cumb with the conditioner and leave for 2 mins then rises. And the smell is amazing fresh coconut. I'm going to to top up on this. And try the purple one for blondes.

Reviewed on 8 March. The seller contacted me directly and sent me a replacement bottle of conditioner. It did confirm what I thought, which is that my original bottle was heavily watered down. It’s either a manufacturing fault or someone sent a watered down bottle back for refund.Anyway, the replacement bottle is as a conditioner should be, thick and creamy and my hair feels very well conditioned. It’s a huge difference from what I had before (didn’t feel conditioned at all).Thank you for sending me the replacement bottle. I’m changing the star rating to 4, would be 5 hadn’t it been for the watered down bottle.Very expensive product and the conditioner is so runny, it’s almost unusable (even after shaking).I only used it 3 times and the bottle (500ml) is down by a third already.I’m loosing so much of it as it just runs through my fingers and it doesn’t condition my hair at all.It even occurred to me that someone ordered it, then took out at least half of the conditioner, filled it up with water and send it back to Amazon for a refund. The seller didn’t check and they just sent it to the next person (me).The shampoo is ok.I contacted Amazon and got a refund though, so that’s a positive

I bought this shampoo and conditioner on the run up to me having nano bond extensions fitted, I bought the travel size originally as wasn't sure if it would suit my natural hair, however I was naive enough to believe suitable, HOWEVER with one of the last uses of my travel sized ones my nano bonds started slipping down my hair, my extensionist got me round to see her with everything I'd used only to see it was THIS shampoo and conditioner because it contains oils harmful to bonds in the shampoo! I've now got this untouched still seeled full sized set and can't return it and there's no one to message and talk to about this either, the fact I've had to give it a star is a joke to be honest.AVOID

Packaging is great as its cardboard and every thing is secure.For context, i have very fine hair.Shampoo Pro`sThe shampoo does a decent job in washing the hair and smells great.Really gentle on the scalp and hair which is great.Good smell.Lathers well for a non sulfate shampoo and i didn`t have to use too muchThe mini treatment should last 4 weeks, when using this shampoo it lasted 7.ConsThe hair had just had a mini keratin treatment but the hair was tangled a lot more than I was expecting which usually doesn`t happenPros of the Conditioner:It is irritant friendly, I have an awful scalp and it didn`t irritate me at all and was gentle enough for daily use which is great.It has a nice smell,Rinsed well.NegativesIts that light weight it almost washes away on contact with your hand, put it on quickly.My hair felt quite soft and shiny after drying and styling but it was a bit lacking in the detangling department and wonder if it just a little too light weight as even been left on a few minutes it sometimes wasn't much easier.It definitely extends the treatment life, its a good price and its safe. If you have finer hair it might work for you but if your hair is very thick you might need a thicker conditioner or you will be using a lot of this product.On the whole, I wouldn't say i wouldn't rush to buy it every time but its decent enough if your on a budget and if like me you try to use free from shampoos all the time you could do worse. A solid 3.
