SteelSeries Surface QcK Heavy (PC)

The is hands down my fav pad. Ive imported a few in like Artisans and Glorious but didnt find them that amazing, Trying out loads in the "top gaming mouse pads" and this one was my favourite. Not only is it super easy to get here in the UK, Its relatively cheap, i got it for about £20-£25. I use my wrist for aiming and the thickness of the pad means that im always comfortable, the tracking is superb and the surface has a slight bit of friction that helps your aim be precise. Keeping it clean is also very easy, just use a wet wipe give it a rough scrub after a sesh and it takes all the grime out of it without destroying the fabric. Ive had mine for 3/4 years and am just about to replace it. Im not a fan of SteelSeries products, I hate all their mice but the mouse pads they produce are on point. Highly recommend if you are after a upgrade or replacement.

//Why I Bought It? I bought the SteelSeries QcK Heavy Mousemat because I needed a large mousemat to accomodate for my large mouse movements as I am a low-sensitivity gamer. The main game I play is CSGO, which means I need a mousepad which is consistant in the way it feels. //Testing... I first unboxed it and layed it out on my desk and played with it for about 1 month. In that time I decided to orientate it portrait as that fitted best with my setup. In my setup I have a Deathadder Chroma and a Cooler Master Bungee positioned about 15cm above the top of the mousepad. The cable then trails down along the mousepad. My setup isnt dusty but the odd cat-hair will get onto the mousepad. //Conclusion... I managed to conclude many things from this review. I can tell you that this is one massive mousepad, so if you are willing to give up about 1/6th of your desk for this, then go for it. But which mousepad you get is up to you. It's personal preference. All I can say is that the tracking is consistant and the running is smooth. Those are the only facts here. The rest you will have to decide for yourself to find what is your favourite setup.

Holy where to start... I got this mousepad today after ordering yesterday with 1-day delivery. Bearing in mind I had tracking issues with my G700s with my old Razer Goliathus Alpha Control Edition (low sense at high speeds it would not register all the movements), this had to live up to the test. Unfortunately, whilst this was much better, it still had the same problems at high speeds. (Perhaps this would happen to most laser mice on cloth pads). I doubt it was my mouse being faulty, because I used the back of a hardback book as a comparison and my mouse tracked perfectly at the same speed. The surface is very smooth, it feels like my mouse is gliding along air and out of the box the mat is of course rolled up but this hasn't been a problem after a few minutes; it's almost flat all the way. Also the pad itself is very thick which acts like a nice cushion for the wrist especially for most gamers who don't use a wrist rest for the sake of being in the way a lot of the time. There are no anti-fraying edges like my old Razer pad used to have, so one can question how this will last over time. I can only assume this pad will be perfect for most if not all optical mice, which on the whole track better on cloth and less even surfaces, unlike laser mice which tend to be better on hard even surfaces. This pad has been a real joy to use, but unfortunately for myself I will be returning it, and opting for a Logitech G440 instead - hopefully that will be fine. I would still recommend this despite the problem I had - For most who use optical mice / don't play that low sensitivity, you shouldn't really have any problems. But if you do own a laser mouse, be wary. I didn't notice at first, but when I played CS:GO (Counter Strike), an FPS on which I use fairly low sensitivity, where I use pretty much all the pad when turning around, it's pretty clear. A full swipe does about 270 degrees of movement but when doing this very fast it only did about 100-180 degrees. So something to consider there...

This is the second SteelSeries gaming mouse pad I have bought for my husband, the difference between this one and his last on we got a year ago is the thickness, while this was still a very good mouse pad the (SteelSeries QcK+) the only downside to this mouse pad was how thin it was and you could feel underneath, so if there was a small little something trapped underneath you would be able to feel that, and in games like CSgo you need a smooth and gliding base to be able to move aim and shoot. So I decided for Christmas I would buy my husband an upgrade to the SteelSeries QcK Heavy, Thick Gaming Mouse Pad, 450mm x 400mm, Cloth, Rubber Base, Laser & Optical Mouse Compatible in Black, He was so happy and loves his new mat. One thing I will mention is that you will need to calibrate your mouse to work with the mat for optimum performance. Overall this is a fantastic mouse pad and well worth the twenty quid spent, It looks and feels great and glides around the mat very smoothly, it also works really great with my husbands Logitech mouse G502 :) Happy Gaming!

Like a pillow for your wrist! I bought this primarily for the 6mm thickness because I was getting wrist fatigue from thinner pads. It feels incredibly cushioned and comfortable for long gaming or working sessions. Pros: Thickness: The extra padding is great for wrist support. Non-slip: The rubber base is heavy and stays exactly where you put it. Size: Plenty of room for large mouse movements. Cons: No Stitched Edges: The edges are laser-cut, so they can start to fray slightly after a few months of heavy use. Maintenance: Being a cloth pad, it does collect dust/lint, so keep a lint roller handy! Overall, it’s a classic for a reason. Simple, effective, and very comfortable.

Perfect

This is the most superior mousepad to ever exist. I've been using QcK Heavy's for roughly 8 years now and I've never had a problem, even with drink spillage! Mousepad has a lovely smooth feel to it, but not too smooth so you still have that very slight friction for precise hand movements. Works well as a browsing/work mousepad as well as a gaming mousepad. Very easy to clean - simply soak in some warm non-scented soapy water, and gently brush/rub the dirt out. Leave to hang-dry for 2ish days, preferably in your boiler room or if you're like me, your balcony, and then it dries over night! Only thing I could possibly comment on is the edges do frill-up quite easily. If you were blind, you wouldn't even notice! That's how much of a non-nuisance it is.

Esta en búsqueda de un mousepad de un tamaño considerable. Estuve investigando varias opciones y este fue una buena elección debido a su precio y calidad. El mousepad es grande, lo cual te favorece si juegas con bajo DPI. La calidad del material es excelente, sin embargo, si estas en un espacio con mucho polvo, este se te llenara con polvo, pero no se interpone con la experiencia de uso. Eso si, prepárate bien para lavarlo con un poco más de frecuencia. Es de un grosor considerable, pero si estas en superficies inestables, este se acomoda y no se mueve para nada. Si recargas mucho la muñeca, esta es tu opción, no te lastima ni nada, aunque si puede que se llegue a ensuciar. En general un gran mousepad.

I love this mouse pad, I have had another steelseries mouse pad in the Fanatic design which is slightly thinner than this one but just as large. It's great, I love the size and the material! Perfect for gaming or just everyday browsing. I wish I could carry it with me to school but it's too big for that. However, I don't want a small mouse pad.

Great performance in CS2, wish it was cheaper or more easy to clean though.
