Brilliant, not same product as those bad reviews?
I got it today and made pasta today. This is excellent and great fun. I found it easy. I was apprehensive because some people leave rubbish reviews. I looked up the product on YouTube and watched an instructional video. My perfect pasta went well as I did the following, I didn't make dough too wet. I followed instruction that first 25 cm of tubes etc were likely to be poor so put the first macaroni back into the hopper, then it comes out straighter and better. And blew me away how professional and how easy it was and the Rigatoni is my absolute favourite. I left it to dry in my conservatory after use and then all the pasta dough just brushes off. Easily. I highly recomend this product although I know it is expensive.

Brilliant, no more dried pasta
Brilliant, fun and easy to use. It did take a couple of goes first time out of the box as I used a recipe for making lasagne but it didn't work at all. The recipe in the Kitchenaid manual (we didn't put it in the fridge to firm up, used the dough straight after mixing) worked straight away and then we just adapted it to add further flavour etc. We found speed 6 worked well, gave perfect pasta, cooked great, tasted great. We will have lots of fun in the future, plus the children can join in, each child chooses which press to use, its great. Tip, leave the press etc. to dry out and the dough will just brush/pull off.

Its all in the pasta!
I recently bought one of these as I have been making pasta for a long time and wanted to start making shapes like Penne etc. I have my own pasta recipe but decided to go along with the one suggested by the product makers. The results were not that good at the pasta dough was quite soft and sticky - It worked but I had trouble separating the finished shapes (macaroni, penne and spagetti). Next attempt I used my own recipe and what a difference - clearly its all in the consistancy of the pasta. Everything came out seperate, really brilliant! My simple recipe is as follows: use half flour and half semolina for every 110 gms therefore for 220 gms use 110 gms of each. Then for every 110 gms of the mix use 1 whole egg (for 440gms you would use 4 eggs). Mix the pasta and eggs together adding between a half and 1 tablespoon full of water depending on the amount (do not use any more than this. Finally nead for 5 minutes and fridge for 30 minutes. You will find the dough quite hard to nead but it will give and don't be tempted to add any water. Last tip - don't try to clean the pieces of the machine especially the different heads after use. let them dry and after the pasta has dried all the residue will come away quite easily. This is a great bit of kit providing you have your pasta the correct consistancy. I hope this helps! John Z
