Generation 2 OBD Adapter compatible with Carly - WIFI for iPhone and iPad only

It does the job - coded and registered my new bmw battery, set loads of other coding options. Checked diagnostics so I now know about a couple of minor faults that'll need fixing.Plugs into your car OBD port (probably near your stearing wheel) and creates a wifi hotspot. You then connect with your phone and start the app. (Actually start the app while connected to the internet the first time)In use it takes a few seconds to minute to upload/download/flip between screens (almost certainly due to the speed of the OBD port). The app is clunky but adequate.But it is expensive. The app will cost you another £50ish including most codings and diagnostics. And then £10 - 15 for the option to register a new battery, £10ish to turn the idrive coding options on if you want them and they're compatible with your car.If you just want to do a couple of things to your car make sure it's worth it. For an extra £100+ on top of the price of a battery I could have got the BMW stealership to do it for me - well perhaps not actually.Don't leave it plugged in when you leave the car or it could flatten your car battery.

The problem with this is that the lite version of the software only does what cheaper OBD adaptors already do without having to buy the expensive adaptor. You have to spend a further £50ish pounds that will allow you do do some extra coding but then it wants even more money off you to do even more things such as reset the service indicator or regenerate the Exhaust. Which ends up costing quite a lot of money. Not sure it is worth it.Also, a word of warning. I was trying some simple coding, change what was being displayed in the Head Up Display. In doing so, it has broken my Lane Warning Departure. Despite making a back up before I changed anything, restoring has not fixed it. So disappointed with this.Thought I would edit this and leave in the bit above, as I am sure it will happen to others, after leaving the car for 20 minutes, the fault vanished.

A must have item for any BMW owner! This device has come in handy as the dealership was giving me the runaround saying there were multiple issues with the car when a scan with this revealed nothing else wrong other than what I had first suspected!On the coding side, more and more functions are being added for the F3x chassis vehicles and I am now able to customise as to how I like it setup (Auto Stop/Start off, Tail lights on with DRLs, audible confirmation when locking/unlocking)I can’t fault this product, also came in handy for registering a new battery to the vehicle as it struggled to start most mornings.A fantastic item and I eagerly await each and every update, well done MyCarly!

A must have tool if you own a BMW very easy to use and navigate through the app with in minutes I got mine car to bleep the alarm when locking and unlocking, disabled safety warnings on idrive and add digital speed to dash board also read my DPF valuesThis is the genuine carly OBD2 WiFi reader for IPhone

Misleading you will need to spend £50 for the app and £50 to unlock all the in app add ons then you may not be able to use them I was told my 67 plate lci screen and idrive software was too new

Amazing piece of Kit! saved a ££££ by diagnosing some issues on my BM. It's really cool to be able to code the car yourself and have add some cool features. Highly recommended guys..

Great adapter. The software cost extra but has been heavily update and the coding possibilities now are huge for all BMW’s right upto the new stuff!
