The perfect tool to sharpen your tool ! (Pen knife !!)
I used to use a ceramic butchers steel to sharpen my much adored Victorinox pen knife. I found this a bit clumsy so I bought a small whetstone, then dropped it. (£40 down the pan 😔). I didn’t replace it and the well-used and loved pen knife became quite blunt. Then I saw this little ceramic pen shaped sharpener and thought it must be worth a try for that price. And yes. It really works. Two grades of ceramic grit to use to first shape the edge, then finely hone the blade. Both the small and large blades on my knife will now comfortably shave the dry skin on my arm without leaving a mark. Previously the larger blade was reluctant to cut parcel tape.Great design. No fear of breaking when dropped either. Made and packaged by the original Swiss Army knife people. Works perfectly and very easily.I’ve since used it to sharpen other small knives like my pocket Opinel, and a Victorian steel fruit knife, to great effect. Also good on scalpel blades used for picture mounting.Genius idea beautifully executed in a high quality product.

light wieght pocket size .
Love this sharpener i had one a while back and lost it , but it really is a nice product amazing how blunt my swiss army knives have got over the months ! like the fact you just stick it in your pocket like a pen , also i sharpened one of my wifes kitchen knives with it perfect .

5 Year Review
Bought 5 years ago and used frequently to keep kitchen knives sharp. This simple sharpener works well and is easy to use. It works well for knives but is too small and lightweight to use on tools (chisels etc) for which you need a traditional sharpening stone. The main advantage of this sharpener is convenience - it sits in a kitchen drawer and can be taken out and used in seconds to sharpen a knife. This is vastly easier, quicker and less messy than a sharpening stone. The design means that you really don’t need to fret about sharpening angles as it does a decent job with a few passes at just about any angle, you don’t need prior sharpening experience to use this.It is quite lightweight and is showing wear now but for the price and the amount of use it has experienced it is good value and useful to have in the house. Recommended.

Essential piece of kit for Knife care.
I love this.I always had a problem sharpening my knifes. When I got into Bush Crafting , I need a sharpening tool. I had tried sharpening stones and other sharpening equipment but nothing made my knifes sharp or gave it a great edge.I started to collect Victorinox knifes and saw this. The build quality looks simple but you'd be deceived. it it such a clever design. with dual functionality , not only do you have a sharpening stone but also a quick sharpener on the opposite side, all in a pen/pocket sized shape. It's robust and should last a lifetime.Because of this Item all of my Victorinox are razor sharp. A task that I could never achieve with other methods of sharpening.

Easy to use. Read this first.
Absolutely brilliant. Very easy to use.Just ordered two more so I can keep one in the kitchen and one in my van.You can sharpen at work, in front of the telly, up a mountain, no messing with water or anything, you can use it anywhere without a bench.I've used it to great effect on Pen Knives, Pocket Knives, Kitchen Knives, Sushi Knives, Carving Knives, Hunting Knives, Cutlery Steel, Carbon Steel, Razor Steel, all no problem with excellent results.Few tips :It's not a Chef's Steel, don't try and use it like one. Here's the biggie NEVER USE IT WITH YOUR HAND IN FRONT OF THE BLADE. Sorry for shouting.Just flip the blade so the edge is away from you and hold the sharpener behind the blade.Pick your angle and sweep left and right like you're shading on a line with a pencil.Don't saw across the blade. Always run along the blade, left right, handle to tip. You don't need to do long full sweeps, just keep it even.Like this it's impossible to cut yourself or scratch the flat of the knife. As the edge apexes you'll start pushing a burr over the apex.Keep flipping sides and reducing pressure until the burr reduces to nothing. If you're not getting a good edge you are either not properly apexed yet or you're using too much pressure and knackering up the apex. The last sweeps should feel like warm butter with a feather pressure.Test the edge on a single sheet of paper, that'll show you where you need to do more work.Scrub deposits off the sharpener on cardboard or a roll of paper. If you want to polish or strop the edge afterwards use a leather belt for razor steel or leather with polishing compound on it for harder steels.Yes, you can do a faster better job with £300 worth of Japanese Whetstones, but come on, are you a Sushi Chef or do you just want your knives to work properly? 🤔😂Anyway, this is much easier to use on smaller blades and doesn't make a mess.
