I am looking for something to help my child to understand ones, tens and hundreds placement. Would these cubes be useful for this purpose?

As others have said, these cubes would be fine for what you're wanting - and also as others have said, they're not as sturdy as they look (and sometimes can be awkward to stick together). I use them with my 5yr old and find them helpful.

No guide was with the pack I bought. I must say they have really helped my children with their maths.

What is the difference between "math link cubes" and "snap cubes"?

Hi There - the only reason difference is that the Snap Cubes can be used in place of any 2cm cube, and fit in Unifix® apparatus and materials. Hope that helps :)

Is it possible to buy a few extra cubes? We are missing 9 cubes, not sure if they were delivered or we lost them

Sorry don’t know the answer to this question. I definitely had 100 delivered. I would maybe contact the seller if you feel some were missing. I know a few of mine went up the hoover!
