Simple Truth
Yes, these are the best picks I have ever used, and no, it's not because of how they recommend you use them. The slender contour in the middle is designed, with best intentions, to allow you to hold it at different markers for different styles of picking, and although it does add to your Radiohead karma (<- pun intended), what this actually does is prevent the pick from warping into a spoon over time. Nice. These picks also (thanks again to the control grooves) never, ever, slip out of your hand, and I'm a sweaty b*stard, let me tell you. These picks should be market differently. No guitarist needs better control. Our spare pick on the road is a 20p piece and we play that just fine. These are the real reasons I have been using Dava Control for the last ten thousand years, and always will.

Yes, one guitar pick can be way different from another!
These are really fabulous (if pricey) guitar picks. As advertised, they allow both for strumming and for strong note-picking, when one has developed the skill of sliding one's finger-tip just a fraction, during playing. I would prefer them to have a rubber inclusion for sweaty fingers and thumbs, but that I suppose would interfere with the 'control' aspect of the product somewhat. I glue a tiny piece of felt onto the wide part of the pick which solves the problem for me. Only word of warning: if one gets too excited and allows the pick to go really deep (and one shouldn't, should one?) the preformed ridges which contribute to the control can catch on a thin string, wresting the pick out of one's grasp in an alarming manner, and shooting the pick into the air in a manner calculated to cause alarm and despondency. But no plectrum can be made that allows for idiocy on the part of the player, I'm sure! Warning: these picks will spoil you for all others.

Found the first one
I found one of these years ago after a session. Never found the owner so kept it. I started to use it and noticed a beautiful tone from my acoustic. All I can say is that they work for me and they make my guitar sound rounded, mellow, and fuller, simply put just better. I'm not planning on using any others after I've now found where to buy them.

Dava does the job
Good for hard or soft tremolo picking and good grip

These are good
These are a great pick for acoustic playing although they wear a little too quickly. Other than that I can't say much else wrong with them.

Poor finishing spoils a good product.
The idea of the pick is great, holding it in differently should affect how flexible or pliable the pick is.In practise the poor finishing on the pick edge means that it can give a nasty rasping sound, and is generally unpleasant to hold when switching between hybrid and fingerstyle. The nylon version of the Dava grip tip has no such issues, and is an excellent pick.
