Siege AA - Coyote

Very high quality, compact plastic construction. Lots of hanging options, Water-proof. Easily obtainable batteries and good battery life with warning light if batteries get low. Can be bright enough to illuminate a small room. Will be perfect if there are any power cuts and great for camping and putting the chickens to bed. Very pleased and very highly recommended.

There are many lanterns that are much cheaper, so if quality, robust build and useful features are not of interest, stay clear. If however like me you value quality and expect your purchase to last more than a month or two, this may be for you. A small unit, but very bright with three brightness settings. A low battery warning light, a red and flashing option. It used three AA batteries, which are cheap and can be found almost anywhere. Waterproof, lots of rubber around the base and a very useful carry/ hanging loop. Mine will light an average room well enough, ideal for unlit rooms like sheds, or even power cuts. As said, not cheap but better one of these than three or four tinny cheap ones that may well let you down just when you need them.

Always wanted this AA lantern but it was only available shipped at cost and risk from the US. Then I spotted a Fulfilled by Amazon listing and jumped (all gone last time I checked). What do I like about this compared with others. Firstly genuinely waterproof. Secondly the most shock-resistant of the bunch. Next, three well spaced white outputs. Also red if you want. The white is a pleasant "warmish" white, certainly not cool white. The top hanging hook is metal as is the upside down carabiner. Says its floats though I haven't tried. The on/off button gives a colour coded battery level. I would say the Streamlight design is the perfect emergency lantern and this AA version perfect where compactness is required. One for the kids room maybe. Something I need to point out though. Mine arrived apparently DOA even with known sound batteries. Was about to return it (an advantage of Fulfilled by Amazon) when I noticed clear tape on one contact. The tape was not accessible as temporary battery savers usually are. Had to dig it out with a knife. Nothing obvious in the instructions. Not supplied with batteries installed so I don't understand why it was there.

This is a fantastic product. Some serious design has gone into it, and it shows. It is tiny and light, but throws out some serious, smooth, bright light. Perfect for camping. I was so impressed I have bought the larger version as backup for the house in power cuts. Best lantern I have ever bought. I did some web research, watched some you tube vids, and this came out on top. They were right. Not really available in UK so I bought from a German seller who shipped really fast.

Well thought out Lantern and as others have said is built to last. It's certainly one of my favourites.. The only thing I would change would be to have the red light a little brighter, do away with the SOS and just have a beacon flash, maybe flashing at 3 second intervals. It's plenty bright and it's not that cold blue LED but a slightly warmer, maybe I would like it slightly more so on the kelvin scale towards the warm white but it's acceptable. Also bear in mind it works great on rechargeable and aa batteries are available anywhere.

Resiste agli urti e alle pozzanghere. Piccolo e molto molto luminoso per l'interno. Sufficiente anche per uso esterno. Facile da riporre nello zaino, ingombro ridottissimo per essere una lanterna super luminosa. Consumi ridotti, quindi lunga durata delle batterie con tanto di cambio colore dell'interruttore di accensione per indicare lo stato di carica. 3 intensità di luce bianca selezionabili. 1 intensità a luce rossa. 1 modalità lampeggiante a luce rossa. Qualità dei mpateriali al TOP. Dopo mesi di uso in casa e fuori casa posso dire che è un ottimo prodotto!!!

Ich habe neben dieser kleinen Variante auch die große SIEGE. Im Vergleich zur Großen, startet die kleine Variante in der schwächsten Stufe und wird mit den anschließenden Klicks hochgeschaltet, die Große entsprechend gegengleich. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass man in der Nacht nicht jeden blendet wenn die Lampe einmal eingeschaltet wird. Die Rotlicht Funktion ist vor allem in der Nacht bzw. in einer etwaigen taktischen Verwendung von Vorteil, da hierdurch die Nachtsichtfähigkeit nicht verloren geht und erhalten bleibt. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist, dass die AA - wie im Namen ersichtlich - AA Batterien verwendet. Diese sind in unseren Gefilden so gut wie in jedem Supermarkt/ Tankstelle usw zu finden, sind zusätzlich noch günstig und können auch ein wenig länger gelagert werden. Die Lampe schwimmt und ist EXTREM Robust. Habe meine Lampe bereits mehrfach ausgiebig getestet und konnte nicht den geringsten Schwachpunkt finden. Diese Signalgelbe Variante hat zusätzlich noch Magnete in der Bodenplatte, sodaß diese Lampe auch an allen metallischen Flächen montiert werden kann. Die Standardvariante in Braun/ Grün hat diese Magneten NICHT! Wer eine Lampe fürs Camping/ Urlaub/ Wertstatt oder auch für den "Fall der Fälle" sucht, ist hiermit Bestens bedient!

I had a hard time choosing between the normal size (large) Siege and this AA Siege. In the end I chose the AA version because for me I needed a lantern to be multifunctional based on what I'm doing. I will be using this for camping with a boat to halt items. I will be using this with a canoe and need to pack smarter and lighter. I will be using this as a light when hiking. And I will also use it at home during power outages. So for me it seemed smarter to go with the lightest choice the AA. This little lantern is AWESOME! I was very pleased with its performance. In the past I've worn a headlamp for any external light that I needed, but this little lantern worked so much better. I didn't have plans on using this for any of my hiking adventures, but it could be since the size and weight are minimal. I'm very pleased with the lanterns light output, and should only have to use it on the low setting for most occasions. You can attach it to the nylon loop, that's located in most tents, at the very top of the roof by using the D ring style spring clip located at the bottom of the lantern, or just place it in the tents attic net. The D ring makes this lantern usable in most any situation and really was the selling point for me along with waterproof / floatable, since I canoe. The weight with batteries is right at 8 oz. according to my scale. On Streamlight's website it says 8.8 oz. I've attached some photos that will show the lantern with a tape measure, and a deck of cards for size comparison. Overall I think this product is great and has great features. It is a little pricy but Amazon had a great price on them much cheaper than the local stores. For functionality, weight, and features it's well worth it.

Cuando llego no podía entender porque la caja dela paquetería era tan pequeña. Cuando abrí la caja la lampara viene simplemente como se ve, no tiene ningún tipo de caja o envoltura y el tamaño es ridículo, la pongo en las manos de mi hijo de casi 2 años y parece hecha a la medida para el. No sabía si reírme o enojarme. Creo que debí haber puesto mas atención a las dimensiones de la lampará para que no me tomara por sopresa. Una vez que se te pasa la risa y la pruebas, es genial, ligera pero muy sólida y práctica, tiene todas las funciones descritas, la iluminación es excelente sin importar el tamaño que tiene. Casi casi quiero tirarla al piso o sumergirla en agua para corroborar su resistencia y validar su flotación, es muy probable que lo haga tarde o temprano. Ya tengo otros productos de esta marca y es impecable. No se dejen engañar por el tamaño, es muy buen artículo.
