Perfect for my little girls
Perfect for my little girls. As a dad with 2 girls (6 and 5) I needed something that would help me compete with the super mums at school who braid their daughters hair in different styles every day. Luckily my girls are brilliant and anything that I manage to do for them they say looks great. However, the Topsytail helps me get to a slightly higher grade of ponytail.I followed the instructions and sneaked a peek on youtube (hundreds of videos) and managed to send them to school looking perfect (in my eyes). Nice ponytails that still look like they belong on little girls. It is very simple to use - my girls preferred style is for me to do a low ponytail, tie it with a bobble and then loop the hair through the Topsytail and pull through. TIghten the bobble. Done. This gives a finish similiar to the one on the packet cover. They seem (1 large 1 small) well made and tough and they don't pull on the girls hair when I use them.Perfect. Good addition to the Tangle Teaser.

Great quality, easy and effective hair tool
Bought this after a cheaper version broke rather quickly with use on my daughter's thick hair. This is much stronger, totally worth the couple of extra quid. My daughter (6) has her hair up everyday for school much to her annoyance, to avoid the dreaded nits. This tool means I can make "princess ponytails" which she loves, only take a few seconds longer in the mornings and look really cute. Also used it on my much thinner hair and it still gives a very pretty look, mixing it up rather than having another standard pony tail, but will little extra effort.

Topsy
I found this easy to use, my hair is mid length so either the larger or smaller tool can be use. Very useful and keeps my hair looking neat and tidy.

Scunci Topsytail
Well this was well worth a try. I did sort of manage to use it, it is quite simple even for me. A bit more exciting than a plain covered elastic band. You do need a covered elastic band to hold your hair into a pony tail and then you use the large or small plastic utensil provided (think large sewing needle). You poke the pointy end through your hair and thread the pony tail through and pull it through above the covered elastic band (full and better instructions are in the box you will be pleased to know). And voila a pony tail with a twist! Rather depends on whether you can make a neat pony tail in the first place but even so definitely worth a try. Would imagine that it might be very useful if you are having to style little girl's long hair on a daily basis.

So good my mum bought one too!
Absolutely brilliant hair tool. I use this for standard topsy tail styles but also to poke stray hairs back in when i have done a non-topsy style. It's great for threading plaits into your existing ponytail instead of having to use additional hairbands and so much more! I also use it when i have done a plait and the hair has poked out of the pattern. I can't recommend this tool enough - it's not just for fancy styles - anyone who does a simple plait or bun should own one! The delivery is quick and the tools are lightweight so you can take them when you travel. There are two sizes so they can be used on big styles or delicate fixing of hair. If you are thinking about getting one - do it! You won't regret it!

OK if you know what you're doing
(Wife writing on hubby's account)Pretty much does what it says on the tin. If you know what you're doing and how to use it then great. But if like me you want to recreate the looks on the little card provided, I find there wasn't enough instruction on how to do it and my hair just wouldn't go the way it was 'supposed' to. Not by doing it myself anyway. I therefore find I never really use it so what was the point? Like most of the hair style accessories, it has amazing looking hair on the picture but I'll be darned if I can recreate it using the little plastic trinket provided. However, I guess that's not the products fault? Good quality nonetheless. You get a bigger one and a smaller one and little book of hairstyle ideas. The rest is up to you!

What's Not To Love?
I had one of these 'topsytail' tools when I was a teenager, over 20 years ago, but it when it broke I didn't get a replacement and then I had my hair cut short. Now it is long-ish again, I decided to invest in another one. These hot summer days mean I want to wear my hair up, but I was getting bored of the same old ponytail or twisted bun. I mean, sometimes you want to look like you've made an effort. And at the cost of a posh cup of coffee, it's not going to break the bank. This set comes with two tools, one standard size and one small and a little booklet of instructions. For other ideas, search Pinterest and YouTube. The first time I used it, I had so many compliments on my up-do, I was almost embarrassed. It made me feel that I must usually look like a mess. One tip I would give is to invest in a pack of those little clear snag-free hair elastics. You get about 100 in a pack and they virtually disappear when you use this tool. I have quite thick hair and found no problems using this Topsytail in my hair, you just need to pull it slowly but firmly. Very pleased with my purchase, best couple of ££ I've spent in a while!

Very effective
This really does turn a plain hairstyle into smthg more glamourous but you have to be careful as it does feel a bit on the flimsy side, like it could break if you force it too much. Haven't bothere with the mini one, may be suitable for babyfine hair or for someone who has time to fiddle with little strands as per the lower picture.
