We received a car called Power Rocket which changes colour from silver to bronze. To change the colour of the car properly it has to be put in ice cold water. Then to change it back you simply have to put it in warm water. Cold tap water isn't enough for it to change colour consistently so be prepared to use a lot of ice or at least keep enough water in the fridge to play with. My son loves this car and enjoyed setting up his track so that he could either jump it into a container of cold water or warm water to watch it change. Only disappointing thing is that he loves taking it in the bath but of course it doesn't change colour... unless I give him an ice bath but he's not ready for that yet! The colour shifter cars are more expensive than the regular Hot Wheels cars and the prices tend to fluctuate from day to day on Amazon so keep an eye out, but I feel I got a good deal at £4.99

First it is cold then try warm to hot water then it will change colour! Great stocking stuffer! Fun to use a lighter to reveal sections of the colours (obviously not recommended that kids have lighters). Die cast metal so it feels heavy and sturdy. Great value as collectors item. Cool looks.

Very good product, I purchased 4, unfortunately one wasn't working, am awaiting a replacement, frustrating I need to take a trip out to post office to return faulty item, would still recommend item I was probably just unlucky.

I was really apprehensive about buying this as I had read so many mixed reviews. A lot of people said they didn’t change colour. I wouldn’t have brought it as it felt very expensive but I had already purchased the hot wheels car wash and couldn’t find any colour shifter cars cheap on eBay. But I was really plead as soon as it arrived I tested it (I didn’t want to give it to my daughter only to find out it didn’t work) but it changed colour straight away. Actually quite impressive. Bit expensive but good fun if you have the car wash.

No colour change the only change was how upset my son was when it did nothing was sent buzzkill and he sure was

It is good and the car does colour shift. But the colour shift only happens when the water is ICE cold. For an inpatient 4 year old boy it wasn't the most practical of hot wheels products.

These cars are awesome. My son loved them. They do work perfect ya d are original Hot Wheels cars, but some of them work with warm water or cold water. It’s necessary to read instructions carefully or check online, but cars are legit.

Bought multiples of these fro my grand nephews and they all got hours of fun from them.

Actual size of car is quite small. However it does change color and kids love it. As soon as it is banged and chips are seen -- that area does not change color. However values wise this is best we can get. Using for more than a year now.

My son loves these, so I figured Santa should get one as a stocking stuffer. Don't make the silly mistake I did! I missed the whole part on this where it says "styles may vary". My little brain was pretty excited for the green truck. We got a purple car. My son will still be excited so it's not the biggest deal in the world. Just something to be mindful of!
