Great kitchen gadget
Wish I had found this before. I suffer with arthritis and really struggled lifting my kettle to fill or pour. This has made it so much easier to make a drink as no lifting involved. Easily filled with a light weight jug.Takes up no more room than my kettle did. I like the fact you only boil exactly the amount of water needed.Very useful having the button to vary the amount for different size cups/mugs. Has been a real help to me.

Hot Water Despenser Which Produces Water Hot Enough for a Decent Cup of Tea
I originally bought this so my wife, who had undergone major surgery, could make herself a cup of tea. As she was under strict instructions not to lift anything, not even a kettle. It boils water from cold in around 30 seconds, and the water is hot enough to produce a decent cup of tea. A useful feature is that it has a variable volume dispenser. The only problem is that it goes from a small cup to a large cup, but doesn't show the actual volumes. I did a quick test, which showed up an oddity. The smallest cup volume is around 200ml, the next bold dot produces 250ml, the next one 250ml again, then the next one 300ml and finally the largest cup is 350ml. In the event that you've miscalculated the volume, there is an emergency stop button. The only other criticism is that the button to open the lid to the water tank is behind the unit and a bit fiddly to get to, as you obviously have the unit facing towards you. The lid hinges forward, which makes tipping in the water a little awkward, too.Overall, a decent bit of kit, which quickly and efficiently produces water hot enough for a hot drink.

Great Alternative to a kettle
People have complained the lead is not long enough. It unclips from the base, and you can unwind more lead before clipping it back in. It's easy to fill, boils really quickly and has adjustable volumes for different sized cups. It's much quicker than my old kettle. Seems to be a nice quality item too.
