How long does the top up last

The top can last forever ,if you do not use the credit it stays on the account and will not expire until you use it or spend it.The £5 free credit is added to the account after you register which requires you to buy £10 credit initially.

The reply by JCB is basically ok, however like other networks having topped up the cheapest deal is to use the top up money to buy a monthly package, called a gigabag (cheaper) for mobile broadband data only or a goodybag for data plus calls and texts. Read their web pages carefully because imho the software is a bit unusual, the queuing system is based on your existing bag's end date, if the first bag runs out of data before its end date your next bag does not auto start until the first bags end date is reached and in the meantime any continued data use counts against any unallocated top up cash you have left at a much more expensive rate. Alternatively to use your new bag immediately in the process of buying the new bag you have to opt for a new starting date, which auto cancels your original bag and you lose any data left in it. Whether you have any credit in your account or not you are also required to top up again within a given time interval (can't remember exactly how long usually about 3 months they send you a reminder email) to maintain the service. Although it looks value you can get caught for expensive data unless you know how to use the system to your best advantage.
