Yes it is run off batteries I presume that yes you can change the battery's ,mine was bought for a gift for someone else .i must say tho it is a very nice mirror the lights in it a very bright .

Q: How do i contact the company for a replacement?

The info is on amazon. I took mine to a local shop and printed off a returns ticket with the code I was sent. Easy.
