NaturesPlus Hema-Plex Tablets

My iron was rock bottom. Normally the GP recommends Ferrous fumerate/sulphate which really messes up my stomach. These were fine - I took two of these each night alongside 2000mg of Vit C. Whilst my stools were a little darker, I had no constipation. My hair fall has lessened and I am less breathless now too. I will give these another month before I get bloods done again but they seem to be working well.

I think these are great supplements but these tablets are much bigger than the last I had in the same packaging, so I’m going to have to look into that as I’m having to chew them to break them and swallow in bits. The last ones were small and easy to swallow capsules - these are hard tablets without the shell casing. But I think they’ve good and do the job. I had low iron and was almost collapsing and very quickly feeling massive energy again.

Trying to increase iron and ferritin levels. Many irons are bad for digestion or too weak, I have found. This one is gentle on tummy and is improving iron levels. Going to stick with it for at least another 3m then time for another blood test. Vegetarian friendly.

The caption with this product is misleading, ‘gentle iron supplement’. It is very high dose and therefore not suitable for anyone with a sensitive stomach. In fact all the vitamins etc in this are high dose. I did not even open it, just returned.

I didn't notice that it could cause discomfort due to the doseage amount. So something to be wary of.

Love this stuff. Very gentle on the stomach and my bloodwork has improved.

No upset stomach

I needed to increase my iron and choose a different supplement than the one I was on, and my doctor recommended this. She said she doesn't normally recommend things on Amazon but she has patients that have done well on this particular one. It does not appear to cause any stomach upset for me which is good, and I'm taking one every other day at my doctor's recommendation and my iron levels are starting to come up. My one complaint about the product is that the listings on Amazon make it difficult sometimes to determine which one you're actually purchasing. There is a slow releasing tablet, which is the one my doctor wants me on, a sustained release tablet that I'm uncertain if that's the same as the slow releasing tablet or not, and a fast acting tablet. Some of the listings seem to show one in the picture and then describe it differently, or offer different options and it's a little bit confusing. I wish it was a little bit clearer which is why I've dropped a star on the review. I was trying to buy a larger package and almost bought the wrong formula.

I take it every day and my blood work is great! My General Practitioner told me to keep doing whatever I was doing because my blood work looks so good!

This is a great vitamin if you need iron.
