Yes, I have this exact mod kit for mine and its alot better than the original pieces that come with the headset... I have had my mod kit applied for approximately 4 years now and it's still going strong

Yes they are alot firmer than the original.i don't wear glasses but I think it might be a bit uncomfortable.

Q: Do these work for the gen 4?

Yes but the mic is rubbish made me sound like a robot, so id only get it if you are just trying to get the ear pads

Q: Will these work on any Astro A40s?

No, they will only fit the a40 TR ones
