Excellent bit of kit
Very vrsatile guitar effects pedal. I'm very much an armchair-amateur guitar player, playing off and on (mostly off!) for quite a few years now. It takes a while to get your head around setting up and/or tweaking the patches, but once you've sorted it, it becomes much easier to add and remove things to suit your taste. The options are limitless, it's amazing..... There are many preprogrammed "pedals" (mainly called patches, but there are also amplifier models, rhythm/drums and ambience settings which also come under the term 'patches'), so you can probably find something to suit your fancy straight off. The instructions seem a bit overwhelming at first, but there are lots of YouTube videos and tutorials on how to sort things out. If you are thinking of making yourself a pedal board with a few basics (Tube Screamer, Fuzz, WahWah etc.) You might well want to have a go on this first... for about the same money you can add these as pedals/patches (built in already) as well as experiment with amp modelling and additional pedals (delay, reverb etc). I've been using it for about 4 weeks now, and am learning something new with it each time I use it. Wish I had bought one sooner....

Great for the money
I purchased this based on good reviews and am really impressed. I am a bit of a tube amp, boutique pedal only kind of guitarist. I fancied having a few presets on tap so connected this into my pedal chain via a switcher so it can be bypassed when not required. I tweeked most of the presets that were on there plus a few I downloaded so they sound right into a clean Marshall or Fender amp. Got to say it is very good indeed and have sold a couple of my modulation pedals I no longer need for more than the cost of this unit. Would definitely recommend, amazing for the price.

High quality, flexible FX unit for a really good price
I've been really enjoying using my new G3xn since I bought it. As other reviewers have said, there is a bit of a learning curve to go through before you start getting the most from the unit. However, it is absolutely worth persevering. Read the manual, look online for other resources and generally mess around with it. There a few things that I think it is important to know though: - While you are in the early stages of getting to know the device, you will definitely be messing around with the various patches. Just remember that any changes you make are automatically saved. So if, like me, you accidentally delete or overwrite an important part of a factory patch (the amp sim in my case!) you might find it hard to get back to what it was before, I had to do a factory reset to get a patch back that I particularly liked but I won't make that mistake again. One way of getting round this is to disable the auto save option. This can be done in the settings menu if you want to. - There is a good selection of factory patches with more available online (see below). It is not immediately clear however which ones are designed to be used in front of an amp you already own and which are designed to go in to a DAW for example (i.e. they have amp and cab sims built in). It is not much of a problem of course. You can look in more detail at the patch and decide for yourself but I have begun to shuffle patches around into groups and put those with amps and cabs together and those without together. - I simply haven't been able to get Guitar Lab to work with my pedal and it looks like I am not the only one. Guitar Lab is the software you install on your computer in which helps you to manage and download patches and create more for yourself. It is similar to Fender Fuse or something like that. It clashes with ASIO4ALL drivers and given that this unit is partly aimed towards the home recordist who is quite likely to have those sort of drivers installed, this is a bit of an issue. However, Guitar Lab only provides additional functionality and it is not mandatory. You will still have plenty to do just using the G3xn itself without needing to connect it. In summary, the points above are not dealbreakers and I still think this is a really good piece of kit for the money. The sounds it produces are great (to my ears, at least) and it is hugely flexible.

Very well made and solid and a great selection of sounds
Got this after watching a YouTube demonstration and wasn't disappointed when it arrived, very well made and solid. Takes a little bit of work getting used to the controls but easy enough once you get the hang of it. Very good effects and no mains buzz or other annoying noise.. Definitely recommended

Great pedal, great value for money.
Very impressive pedal especially for the price! The instruction manual on the other hand is a little vague, but I found plenty of tutorials on YouTube.

Great device and value for money
This is a great all round effects pedal and does soo much for one device. I would recommend this to both beginners and professionals alike as it works just as well as a stand alone unit as it does on my pedalboard.

Lot to like
I bought this product to go with my Boss Katana 50. I wanted to add a looper and some effects prior to the Katana. The unit has some fun sounds and is easy to use when you get used to the pedal interface. I like the tuner, very easy to use. I often find myself using the unit for practice standalone with headphones. It's a bit of a pain that the looper and rhythm take up slots, so you have to create new patches when you want to use them. The looper is a bit basic, but I'm still finding my way and good enough for me at the moment. I don't use this for performances and so I couldn't comment how good it would be for that, but for my home use it is good. The software seems to work well enough.

I have been playing for almost 2 decades and been using differenct boss multi-effects. This one did not disappoint me in terms of sound and build quality. For the price, its more than what you get. Good job Zoom. I am happy with this one. Cheers!
