PetSafe Staywell Big Cat/Small Dog Pet Door Frosted (270EF)

Worked really well. We installed it ourselves after getting silly quotes off companies. Door was modern UPVC and it took about 2 hours! Got there in the end though. See through flap looked silly as you could see the rough cutting out edges so we ordered another flap in white and replaced it. Much better as the white hides the unsightly hole. We live in a super windy area with garden and the flap was blowing open on occasion when the weather was bad. We put a potted plant near the flap that acted as a wind breaker and now the flap does not blow open at all. Our King Charles spaniel also uses the cat flap. So now the dog and cat chase each other in and out of the garden. They fly through the flap daily! Superb product

Good size cat flap for big furries. Have it for access from the conservatory to the kitchen, looks great on the glass as it's clear(ish). Lock works fine, as do the magnet and seals to stop draughts if its installed properly. 2nd one as the monster cat eventually destroyed the first one by snapping the bottom section off, though it did last about 7 years! I'm not sure I'd want to use it as an external catflap, it seems a bit too fragile for the elements (and we have a microchip one for outside). It's a bit of a pain to install.... you need to be very careful how tight each screw is... too loose and it will slide around the hole, too tight and it will warp the frame and won't swing or close properly.

Bought this one for our new house , we had it fitted to the side of our patio doors with new toughened glass made , big and strong for my cats very pleased .

Got a different brand flap from a well known high street pet supplier and took it it back as it was as much use as a chocolate teapot.These flaps are good although the weather seal isn’t particularly effective; I needed it in a hurry as cats wrecked the old one and it was delivered next day and still a tenner cheaper than the one I bought from shop...

I was getting new back door so bought this and had it fitted during manufacture, perfect for my Cavapoo to go in and out of with ease. We had one on our last back door which we fitted to the UPVC ourselves and that was also great.

We bought this cat flap as we wanted to move it to a glass door. We had had the same cat flap in the old door and it has been good but I bought the new one in clear as a pose to white as it was going in a patio door.However it remains taped open (good job it's summer)It catches at the bottom and is difficult to push. One way is not too bad but coming in from outside, my cat simply wouldn't be able to push it open. Can't work what the problem is and don't know what will do about it once the weathet turns colder. The double glazed door has been cut to that specific size costing £110, so to get a different one would prove very expensive. There aren't that many clear ones available and I thought as it was the same cat flap as we already had that it would be fine but I am very disappointed.

I bought this to replace the older model I already had installed in my window so I didn't have to adjust the hole. The cat flap is the same overall size as the older model BUT the plastic parts for the screws that connect the two ends are ever so slightly bigger in diameter/circumference than the last model which meant I couldn't fit the back part into the hole and screw the two ends together so there wasn't a gap between the cat flap and the glass, which would let the rain in.To get over this I used the back part of the old cat flap and the front end with the door of the new cat flap with the screws and nuts from the old flap and this worked.Theoretically I like the draught excluder brush addition but in practice it prevents the door from closing, which negates any draught exclusionI'll keep this in for now with a view to replacing with something a bit more functional in a month. It's a cheap cat flap so it's fine but there are sturdier ones out there that feel a bit more air tight and close properly

This is a good dog door. But it was a bit of a nightmare to install by myself. It really needs two people just to keep it in place while screwing in. I have been using pet safe doors for many years. Good products.
