Liqui Moly 2770 - Engine Oil Additive

This oil treatment additive isn't snake oil, it actually worked. My timing chain and possibly oil pump drive chain were making noise. This product has within 20 miles of driving largely left them virtually silent. The engine hasn't had the best servicing by the previous owners, and I believe there was probably sludge in the tensioners and possibly valve drive gear. This product has made a huge difference. Wow!! This does work, engine was always noisy for the first 5 minutes or so (typical for my 35yo car), but not anymore, engine sounds much quieter and smoother, can’t believe how good this is.

Worked straight away, made my tapping go away. Would recommend. Great price.

This product does what it says on the tin. Used it in my motorcycle...... brilliant. Not entirely successful in this application in my car. Hasn't solved a noisy start up. Suspect the car rather than the product.

My local garage said I've got 2 hydraulic lifters ticking so he recommended this stuff, after a fresh oil and filter change and adding this my hdi picasso is a lot quieter only done 50 miles on it so far it'll stay in for 6 months then I'll add another can definitely recommend 💪👍

I thought this stuff wouldn't work, just snake oil, but no I was pleasantly surprised, for me it didn't work straight away, but after awhile, two or three hundred miles or so, it started to reduce the hydraulic lifter tick, ok it's still there, slightly, but apparently for my motor, it's normal to have a little tick for a few minutes, until warm. Trying another can of it again, at my next oil and filter change, which I do myself. So hopefully it will continue to keep things quiet, I considered a engine oil flush, but it seems 50% for and 50% against engine oil flushing.

I wanted to share some feedback on the Liqui Moly Engine Oil Additive I purchased. Based on the high reviews, I was quite hopeful that it would significantly improve my car's performance. While I did notice that it made the engine a bit quieter, it wasn't the drastic difference I was expecting. On a positive note, I must commend the product for it's good price and the prompt delivery.

I use this every oil change. Can I tell the difference… no not really. It’s 250ml of grey slurry into 6l of oil. My engine is at 200k it’s still nice and strong, and runs smoothly. Im not a scientist or an engine specialist so I can’t say either way. But it makes me feel better. And it must do something. Just don’t know how much or what that something is.

I have seen the videos of this stuff instantly stopping lifter noises like most people looking into this product. However, it make the lifter noises less but didn’t eliminate all together. I added during an oil change on my wife’s 2012 GLK350 (128,000 miles on the car) She takes a trip once or twice a month that’s 52 miles one way. Usually when this takes place you can literally watch the gas gauge drop diving down the interstate. She was getting around 16-18 mpg and would fill up before she left and on her way back. After oil change and adding this she made her trip both ways and came back with over a quarter of a tank without stopping and filling up again. I was beyond impressed. I checked the read out on the computer when she told me and it was back to getting 21 mpg. Will definitely endorse and order again. This definitely solved a problem that I couldn’t see.

Efficace sur une 320i e36. Le clac clac au démarrage a été complètement réduit et a quasiment totalement disparu. Néanmoins, il m'a fallu rouler un bon millier de Km après avoir mis l'additif pour qu'il commence à faire effet

Used in a high-mileage engine with intermittent hydraulic lifter ticking. After adding the product to fresh engine oil, lifter noise gradually decreased and engine operation became noticeably smoother. It is not a repair for worn mechanical components, but it is an effective cleaner and conditioner for hydraulic lifters. Excellent preventive maintenance product.
