I came across this camera on a forum and was immediately intrigued by the seamless, almost factory, look. I had been using another camera since purchasing my RAM, but had issues with it constantly falling off the window in the Arizona heat. After some research, I decided to pull the trigger and ordered the 4K front only camera. The fit and finish of the FitcamX is as good or better than OEM and install was simple with my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I even attempted to use a 256GB memory card and it seems to work perfectly (even though they say it can handle a max of 128GB). The footage is nice and clear and licenses plates are easily read when playing back the footage. The only thing I would like to see changed is the placement of the status LED's. As of now the LED's are on the bottom of the cam and are very difficult to see. If they were to be moved the the side or front of the housing, they could easily be seen without having to bend down to look up at the LED's. Shortly after install I had to have my windshield replaced and quickly ran into problems, though not related to the camera it turns out. After the new windshiled was installed, I noticed that I was no longer able to power on the camera. I had the replacement company look at it and was told there were a couple of bolts missing for the sensors on the windshield and that was causing the issues. After I questioned them on how the bolts were causing electrical issues, they sent the calibration guy out to look @ the truck. After about an hour he said that everything was working and he was able to calibrate my systems. I drove the truck home and thought nothing of it as everything seemed to be working. Unfortunately that was not the case. The FitcamX was still not getting power, so I began to investigate and immediately found the problem. When the windshield was replaced, they has ripped some wires out of the harness that comes with the cam. Instead of telling me about it, they simply loosley inserted the wires back in place and wrapped a piece of packing tape around the connector. I immediately contacted Fitcam and asked if I could purchase a new harness to get things working again. After giving a little information about my purchase, they told me they would send out a new harness immediately. WOW! This was not a manufacturing issue and was caused by someone else, yet they stepped up to the plate and provided the part @ no cost. That is what I call STELLAR customer service. Overall, I am very happy with the FitcamX and have only 1 regret, that I didn't get a dual cam system.

Installation was very easy. I installed it on my 2024 Limited 1500 and everything fit l, looks and worked perfectly. No problems with the digital rear view mirror afterwards. It took me about 20 minutes to get it installed. It is a bit cumbersome to connect to the camera with the app. You have to turn off CarPlay so you can connect to the camera via WiFi. If you leave CarPlay on the truck will keep kicking you off WiFi so it can reconnect to your phone. Once connected to the camera everything in the app is user friendly.

Impressive! Love the OEM look and was able to run the rear view camera hiding any cables. Super simple install and even great video.

Functionality: The camera itself works great. The video quality is very clear. Ease of installation: It is very easy to install. Once you get the factory trim moulding off (see below), it is plug and play. BE ADVISED: There is a high likelihood that you will crack your windshield when attempting to remove the factory trim. I did, and I was very careful using good panel tools. The factory clips are a bear to release. I ended up having to get my windshield replaced.

This is good system. Mounts easily, functions correctly, and doesn't block your view through the windshield. Highly recommend!

This is definitely an easy five stars for me. I don't like things hanging off of my windows or a bunch of wire showing. It was super easy to Plug and Play. Looks extremely OEM. It fits perfectly. Also the SD card is easy to access. The video quality is very good. This is probably the best value you can get for your money. The features on the app are great as well.

Installation was simple, and connected to my device seamlessly. I’ve been using it for about 2 months and still not a single issue. All files are written over after about a week, and can be easily accessed via cell phone. Worth every penny.

I will say I was a little hesitant in getting this as I wasn’t familiar with the brand but am glad I got one. Instillation took about an hour and everything can be well hidden, which is a big plus for me. I didn’t want wires all over the place or cameras visible. You can easily hide the wires in the headliner and unless you are really looking for it you wouldn’t even know it is there. I love how it doesn’t have to be connected to any app to run and is always recording while the truck is on and you can get the harness to have it record while it’s parked. I will say, at no fault of the camera makers but that of Ram, be careful if you take off the rear view mirror to make installation a little easier. They are only one of 4 car makers who use the triangle clip to keep the mirror on the window and if you do t out it back on in the right steps you can break the clip, which Ram does not sell by its self. FYI put the mirror at the two o’clock position and twist left to the 12 o’clock position to get it back on. Get one, you won’t be disappointed!
