Great sound, terrible connectivity...WAIT! FIXED!!!
The initial review below is still relevant, but on the brink of walking down to the post office to return these I did one last check to see if there were any fixes for the dropping connection issue... UPDATE: Thanks to JazzMan's review, I downloaded the Sennheiser app and this resolved all connection issues. The downside is that the app will only play downloaded music, rather than stream your library, but that's a DRM thing, not Sennheiser's fault. It's also not a big issue for me as when I'm out walking I play downloaded music, and at home I can stream using the Apple Music/Google Music apps without problem. Result, these are a keeper :) The good stuff: - Build Quality is good, the leather neck band is a nice touch but does add a little weight and probably won’t stand up to sweat for long. - Sound Quality is excellent, well balanced with the slightest leaning towards the bass, but not muddy at all. Some of the best sound staging I’ve heard with In Ear headphones. - Travel case is robust. - Initial Pairing is simple and quick. The not so good: - Battery is not as good as other brand models at this price point. The ‘nope, I’m returning these’ tipping point: - Connection drops in and out while walking with these on. I’ve tried changing the position of the connected device, in and out of pockets, but everytime I wear these while walking, for the first 10 minutes I get told that: “connection lost” then “connected” over and over again. Infuriating! After about 10 minutes of this, they seem to settle down and remain connected without issue until I turn them off (It’s probably worth adding that this is the behaviour I get when I pair with my iPhone 8 running iOS 11, I’ve not tried any other operating system). When using these headphones while sat stationary, I experience none of these issues, but ultimately It’s just too annoying and inconsistent for a £150 pair of headphones. Returning to Amazon and looking for an alternative.

Great choice for working from home and running.
Have used this for the last few weeks now. Have started to like it a lot. Pros: * Charges in an hour or so. Battery lasts at least 5 hours or so. * Connects seamlessly with my iPhone. Have also paired it with phone and laptop. It is able to switch with minimal effort. * Looks nice and I particularly liked the red stitches made visible on one end. It helps me find which side goes down (the softer cushion end). * I have a very large round face and the wire length is long enough to flex nicely even as I move my head around. * I really liked the different shaped buttons and how they prominently stand out so it’s easier for the fingers to find them. * Sound quality is decent although I liked the sound more on around ear headphones (other brands) than this in ear model. For me the sound seems to be best at 70-100% volume. Also the beats on tracks seem to be a flat. * I haven’t got the perfect ears for in-ear phones. I had always gone for around ear headphones as the in ear ones always seem to fall off. With this model, with the right ear tips, it stays on for a good while. I even tried running a other it and whilst these do eventually fall off, it definitely stays in longer. Thumbs up on this front. * Microphone on this is absolutely excellent. Whilst I was on work calls, I have had my colleagues moan about how loud the sound of me tapping away the keyboard is. I even took calls whilst walking outdoors and the person at the other end didn’t have any problem hearing me. A massive reason why this earphone is my go to for office calls. * All the running around with this earphones, the neck band has always stayed intact and I never had the scare of it slipping down. Cons: * don’t quite think it is noise cancelling. It does play audio clearly. * when I hear the battery warning, can’t quiet figure out how much of battery is left. What would be handy is for some information to say 25% battery left etc.

Great clear sound quality and battery life.
Out of the box I managed to pair these up via bluetooth without any problems so I'm not sure why some people are having difficulties. Maybe because they're using older versions of bluetooth while my own phone has bluetooth 4.2 so I would suggest checking which version of bluetooth your phone supports first before buying even though it's backwards compatible. I didn't try the NFC pairing because I didn't want to install their app. Sound quality sounded horrible at first until I discovered I had the left and right sides the wrong way round so the earphones weren't angled properly into the ear canals. It makes a huuuge difference. Doh. Anyway, these are very light weight. You barely notice the neckbrace. I bought these earphones as a replacement for my wired Sony MDR-EX500LP earphones and I was worried they'd sound bad because I had previously tried a number of new earphones which just didn't sound good so I had to return them. I had bought some cheap wireless MPOW ones just for fun which sounded horrible and then tried the more expensive SoundMagic E80 earphones driven with a FiiO X1 that had a built-in AMP but still wasn't impressed either so, I'm glad these turned out great. I can hear the full range of sound from my music clearly just like my MDR-L500P and probably a bit more too. I noticed more detail from my songs that I never did before which is always a good sign. Audio is really crisp and instruments such as cymbals, strings and piano are more vibrant like they're being played live. That said, my phone supports aptX, a technology that allows more audio to be streamed wirelessly and it does make an audible difference to the sound quality. Think of it like your internet connection - the better and faster it is, the cleaner your video quality. As some people have mentioned, the bass can be just a little bit over-emphasised so you'll either have to use a full EQ to dampen it or just use the simpler bass control in your favourite music player. Otherwise the mid-range vocals get drowned out a bit, especially with bass heavy music such as rock or hip hop songs but the bass isn't so strong you can feel the thump. The earphones sounded ridiculously quiet even when I turned up the bluetooth volume to max on my phone. Then I found out the neckband also has its own volume setting and after turning this up the volume was just about right again. However, I found I had to turn up the volume a few more notches than my wired headphones to hear them during commute. This ends up bumping up the sound on any games I'm playing too which used to get drowned out by the music instead. As far as wireless control is concerned, I think it'll take a while to learn all the different combinations to manage calls... Otherwise, controlling music via the neckbrace buttons are pretty much straight forward including skipping tracks, volume control so you don't have to dig out your phone. There are four buttons - one for power while the other three have multiple functions so you don't have to memorise as many button sequences. They all have notches on them so that you can distinguish between them without looking. Sound bytes are pretty much the very familiar female voice on other bluetooth hardware saying powering on/off, connected etc. When you power on (sometimes) or when you quickly press the power button once while on idle, it tells you how many "hours of battery" there is left which is handy if you don't have a bluetooth battery indicator. There is a LED light on the neckbrace that will be lit differently depending on battery levels but you're really unlikely to look at it while wearing it. It's great that it doesn't continuously blink while the earphones are on unlike some other bluetooth devices. However, the odd thing is there's only an indicator for 50%+ and none for fully charged... Out of the box the headphones were already partly pre-charged as with most rechargeable hardware. I've been playing songs at 50% volume and managed to get 8 hours from a single charge before I got the "1 - 2 hours playtime" status so, there's probably enough battery for a week of commute and matches the 10 hours it claims. Once battery levels hit low, it repeatedly tells you to "recharge" just like other wireless devices about every 2 minutes. You'll probably want to recharge once a week. So far I haven't had any problems with interference while commuting despite plenty of other people using wireless headphones nearby. An interesting side feature is you can use these as wired earphones for a laptop/desktop computer because it supports audio through USB too. No need for another 3.5mm line. Just plug it in your usual common micro USB cable and you can listen to audio through the earphones. I think my only gripe is the earphone wires aren't elastic so that you can just wheel them into the neckbrace when not in use rather than just be left hanging out. Or even just an indent you could clip the earphones into would have made it tidier. You'll notice the earphones swinging around a lot if you intend to walk around with them left hanging out. The earphones do come with a hard fabric case but I don't think many will carry it around to zip the neckbrace in and out of it because of the extra bulk. I keep them separated in my backpack "U" side down so the earphones dangle in between the neckbrace. If you wear accessories such as a scarf during the winter the wires will be even shorter. Even jackets with tight high collars can make the brace uncomfortable to wear. Aesthetically I think they look pretty good but other colours would have been welcome instead of just black and red. The back of each earphone are metallic and the Senheisser's 'S' has a refractive finish which means people looking at your earphones could see rainbows on them. Might be worth taking into consideration. A great pair of wireless earphones with crisp excellent sound but bass lovers will want to steer clear. Great battery life and good for those who might be worried about losing wireless earbuds, managing master buds or don't want to have big over/on-ear headphones clamped on their heads. It's a good balance between the two. Just make sure your phone or other hardware supports bluetooth aptX to get the full sound experience. GREAT - Good sound clarity. - Excellent battery life. Don't need to charge for a working week of commute. - AptX support means improved audio (if your bluetooth supports it). - Pretty good aethetics. - Audio through USB support. NOT SO GREAT - Short wires from the neck brace means collars and accessories like scarves can get in the way. - Nothing on neck brace to clip the earbuds onto means they swing about when walking around. - Can be sweaty in summer time. - Vague battery status sound bytes.

The headphones are good quality and work well, but do not actively cancle noise at it was misleadingly advertised. I searched for noise cancellation headphones and the description of this product lists "noise cancellation" but does not mention that this is only by the ear plugs, without any real active noise cancellation feature. So, well done, i got tricked and fooled, you made your business/profit, but never again, Sennheiser, i am back to Bose!
