Amazing...if you follow my instructions
1st photo shows the colour I start with ie my usual hair Colour LIVE vibrant violet. 2nd photo is just after I’ve used these vibrant PINK and CERISE pots. 3rd photo I’ve increased the exposure so you can see the true colour under bright lights. I purchased two of these fab pots, one in cerise and one in flamingo pink . I wanted a maintenance product to use to revive the colour and blend the roots between my monthly full head permanent colour. First time I used these colours was two weeks after my permanent colour and I had a good amount of grey roots with a very wish washy faded burgundy/amber colour on the ends . I followed the instructions to the letter and after rinsing off, most of the colours went down the plug hole, leaving me with neon pink roots and not much elsewhere! So after a few more attempts I found the solution. To get the best from these pots, use on DRY hair. DO NOT apply using fingers. Put disposable gloves on, dip the bristles of an old toothbrush/mascara wand Into the pot. With a generously loaded brush, comb it through your hair from root to tip, making sure that the creme is THICKLY coating the hair shaft. Repeat all over your head, with as many colours as you like! It is soooooooo easy and you can get the colour right up to the roots without MAKING CONTACT WITH SCALP AND SKIN with ease. DO NOT RINSE it off. Either dry it off with a cool hairdryer or leave it to dry naturally. Rinse out the following day or if you applied in the morning, rinse out in the evening. THATS IT! The colour stays true and bright for at least three washes. Not only will this method give you a MUCH better colour, it eliminates a nasty clean up and stained skin. My routine now is to brush through a small amount of product every 2/3 days in the mornings after my shower. I will either give it a quick blast with cool hairdryer or brush it into a high ponytail and leave it on for the rest of the day. I’ve had SO many comments about the lovely colour and no one has realised that most days Ive literally just done a quick touch up straight out the pot lol. I carry the pot in my handbag and often do a little touch up throughout the day if I notice a few stray demon greys😂

Great colours, great coverage even on red hair unbleached, easy to use
really good coverage, easy to use, 3 washes in and still going strong I have red hair, naturally, and as any hairdresser will tell you (they kept telling me!) Red hair is an absolute pain to dye. I have recently become disabled and can no longer go to the hair dressers due to nerve damage, and so thought i would try dyeing my hair at home with help from hubby. I have tried Loreal xxl, fudge, and manic panic and they were all disappointing in colour, and in 2 cases just ran all over the shop, staining bedclothes and my clothes but not doing much to my hair. I tried the directions hair dye, bought here on amazon.co.uk from beautifulu2014, not expecting much as the price was so good (£10.38 for 4 pots!), but chose this because of the great selection of colours. I have used the DARK TULIP and PLUM and it was easy to paint on, covered really well, did not drip all over the place, and i am now 3 washes in and the colour is still going strong, even on my naturally dark red hair i do NOT bleach my hair before dyeing, firstly that is an extra faff and secondly, no matter what bleaching product you use, it damages your hair. I did leave it on longer than stated, I left it on for the same time i left the others - 3 hours - and the dye really worked well and the colours are brilliant and deep, and most importantly the colours match the swatches on the picture, without bleaching, so i would highly recommend this product and am looking forward to the other colours i bought. the tubs look small, however I only used about a third of each pot to cover my hair. So if you were using just one colour, not two like me, that would mean 2/3 of a pot to cover my hair. I have short back and sides and long top half of my head, so if you have longer hiar you might need more, but if you buy from the seller I mentioned above you get 4 tubs, of any colours you like, so plenty to cover even really long hair, my husband is 6ft4 and can sit on his hair and I would think 3 tubs would be more than enough to cover his hair, leaving a tub spare for tough ups.

Alpine Green = GORGEOUS
Edited*** Stunning colour! I bleached my hair in late September, after a long think about what colour to put on my hair which was light yellow-blonde with dark auburn brown roots (6 weeks of growth while I was considering various greens and blues) I chose the Alpine Green by directions. I purchased two pots, I’m a man with really thick, shoulder length hair. But, upon applying the product, I only needed one pot to fully saturate my hair with its gel-like consistency. The pot says to wash your hair with a PH neutral shampoo before dying your hair with the product… however I used a gentle, cleansing shampoo and towelled my hair until it was damp, moisture helps spread the product in thick hair. Make sure your hair isn’t too wet though, this may cause running and your result may be patchy. Applying the dye on my hair was quite easy! If you’re careful, it doesn’t splatter, even with the extra moisture in my hair from the prior washing. It’s recommended to use a dye brush and section your hair… me being the lazy man that I am, put some gloves on and did it the old-fashioned way with my hands, sectioning my hair with my fingers. The product doesn’t smell bad, but it doesn’t smell particularly good either - it does however smell clean… if that makes sense? Anyway… 😂 The dye covered my hair with only half a pot used, which is fantastic for my thick, bleached hair! So, I worked the remaining half a pot into my hair, just to be certain I had even coverage. I left the dye in my hair for 45/50 minutes, and wrapped my hair in plastic wrap, because I wanted as rich a colour deposit as possible. But, always keep in mind the guideline 20 minute advertised development time! Especially when applying to freshly bleached hair. When rinsed and dried, the colour looks AMAZING!! It’s a cool, almost metallic-looking green. Very blue based, giving an almost-iridescent shine to the colour. I still have another pot left over, for upkeep of colour, too! I’m VERY happy with the product, and ‘directions’ in general! I’ve been using their colours for 15 years and have NEVER been disappointed! They stay in my hair far better than most other brands, this includes some of the permanent hair dyes. Thank you, La Riche!!! Sam, 28, long-time customer! ***one year on I have still been using this colour. Multiple haircuts and styles later, this green really is my favourite hair colour. The only thing I would like to change is to make it darker.

Atlantic blue easy use good coverage on natural hair
Extremely happy with the atlantic blue. Like people say the brightness disappears quite quickly when you wash, but I also love the washed out version, more of a sea green on me (picture two is after two weeks on holiday without any colouring, or care for a long time) I did not bleach my hair before using this. I was like a mid strawberry blonde, and the coverage is great. I put it on straight, leave it on for 40-50 minutes, then wash out. I use conditioner mixed with the colour in between colouring seasions when showering, so the multipack is great. If I want to freshen it up without a full on colour, I wash it, put lots of coloured conditioner in it, cover it with a shower cap while I do the rest of my showering, which will do my roots etc. It will stain your fingernails, it will stain your ears and scalp, it will stain your pillow cases if you're warm at night (just stay away from white ones, you'll be fine), but it's a bright colour, what do you expect. I've used it for 8 months now and I love it, highly recommend it!

OH MY!!!! This stuff is BRIGHT! XD
So i decided at 33 i've had enough of permenant box dye colour. Used to play around with non and semi permenant colours but they never lastet long, pigment wasnt strong enough and any pillow i had would be multicoloured! Decided to try la riche Directions as it seems less expensive than Manic Panic but reviews all over seemed good. My hair previously had brown roots and a lot of faded red/purple mids to ends. After bleaching 2 times (leaving it a week in between), with 30vol developer and rapid blue bleach powder (leaving for no longer than 20 mins as it got hot fast!) and using a conditioning hair mask, my hair was light blonde in places, but still had orangey parts and damaged on the ends! After a trim, i noticed one bit underneath was just stubborn and did not want to lighten so it stayed an orangey pink where i wanted to put the blue, but i didnt want to push the bleach anymore! Decided i would choose a mix of some deeper colours and brighter colours in case the orangey tones messed up the colours too much. I did shampoo my hair with elvive low shampoo and gently squeezed out the excess water with a towel before dying. The top half of my hair, which i seperated an inch above my ear, i did Dark Tulip at the roots going into Flamingo Pink from mids to ends. The under half of my hair i did Turquoise at the roots going into Lagoon blue. Now i have had many experiences with blue dye just turning mucky green and was always disappointed, but this is so AMAZING! The turquoise i would happily have over my whole head it is the kind of green hue that is like an emerald green with more blue in, love it. It worked really well over the more orange part of my hair too. Lagoon blue is stunning, again a deeper colour but not too dark and not too light. The Dark Tulip is a deep beautiful ruby purple that leans more to the red side and looks stunning with the pink, and oh my gosh the Flamingo Pink!!! Wow 😍 love the deeper pink, it goes so well with the rest and can be seen a mile away! So if you havent guessed i love these colours, they are thick enough in consistency that its not running off and painting your bathroom with every hand movement, but thin enough that a little goes a long way. As most people have said, and its no surprise, it does stain! A day later my hands are mostly back to normal colour but it has stayed under my nails and a little around my forhead. I always forget to try the vaseline around my hairline to prevent it. Dyed the bottom blue half of my hair first, rinsing it out with just warm water and pining it back up before I done the top pink half. After doing a gentle wash with a little Elvive Low Shampoo i found that there was no crazy amount of dye coming out even with it being the first wash. I had one 88ml pot of each colour. After doing my whole head i have 2/3rds left of each 88ml Dark Tulip and Turquoise, and 1/3rd left of the Lagoon Blue and Flamingo Pink. Plenty for touch ups! Went to bed with a towel over my pillow and slightly damp hair, woke up to no colour on my towel 😱 Speechless! Very excited to see how long this lasts using low shampoo and probably washing my hair twice a week at most. Will update this review if i can. Enjoy your colours beautifuls! ❤️

Pink has poor coverage and doesn’t last more than one wash.
Really struggled to cover my bleach blonde hair with this pink, it took the entire tub for just half my (shoulder length thin) hair and there were still bits uncovered- in comparison I also did blue which covered the same amount of hair brilliantly with half the tub left over- which is saying something though as the tubs aren’t actually that big. But anyway after one wash any of the boldness has come out and my hair just looks super washed out very pale/dirty pink. Really disappointed.

Lovely colour as described bright neon when applied on hair
Absolutely brilliant product it is exactly as it should be and is very neon bright on the hair I would highly recommend this product very pleased thank you I’ve also purchased another 3 colours in this range and very impressed on colours bright daffodil was exactly that and neon orange was bright and extremely neon you don’t need much so size of tub is ideal as it will last for ages. Very impressed all round will probably try each colour eventually it’s a 10 out of 10 great.

Be prepared to dye everything you even look at
So used this to dye my hair from teal to apparently rose red. Hair is a little dry but otherwise spreads lovely and easy to put on. Down to the issue. My hair is now bright pink. Im not mad, not the colour on the pot but went on blue/green and covered well. But , if you are going to use this , be prepared to dye all of your body in the shower, dye your bathroom, your floor, your shower , your cat , your mum . It gets bloody everywhere !! Even with being really careful , our bathroom has now had a deep scrub and the shower screen and the grouting is still pink. Hopefully will wear off... or my landlord wont be to pleased. My hands are also pink just from rinsing! So in short. Wear a full body and face condom if you are rinsing this out
