Toilet Tank Bank Flush Cistern Insert Water Saving Device

I bought a few of these Toilet Tank Bank water-saving inserts and honestly, they’re a no-brainer. Dead easy to install – just fill with water, seal it up, and drop it into the cistern. Took all of two minutes. You can immediately hear and see the difference with each flush – less water used without affecting performance. It’s a simple, effective way to cut down on water use, especially if you’ve got older toilets that aren’t dual-flush. They don’t get in the way of the mechanism, they don’t float about, and they don’t cause any issues. Just quietly doing their job, saving money and water with every flush. Perfect if you're looking for a cheap and effective way to reduce your water bill or just want to be a bit more eco-conscious without any effort. Recommended.

So Far So Good, I have done tests (Probably used a weeks water messing around) and found it saves exactly 1 litre of water per flush. My cistern seems OK for it, as its an older one, the bag hangs on the side but almost touches the ballcock but doesn't affect the operation. All that remains is to see whether it stands the test of time, not puncturing or whatever as others have said in their reviews. As I don't know about this yet I will give it 4 stars, but if it last a year it would have got five !

Fits our top button flush cistern. Certainly reduces the amount of water being flushed, any less water and no.2's wouldn't flush cleanly away. Clips to side easily and the lid isn't lopsided. Some have complained that the bag punctures. The plastic seems robust enough and shouldn't puncture easily, although how it would puncture in a protected environment like a toilet cistern is beyond me. Not sure it will save anyone loads of money but it's functional and every little helps.

This looks well made, but after asking my very good plumber if he had any tips on how to put these in, they are instead going to the charity shop to find a new home with older loos. (Our loos are 20+ years old, so older than that.) The reason is that the professional view is that these should only be used in older toilets, with a much larger water cistern, or it may cause problems. Southeast Water should be much clearer when they send out emails telling us what to do to save water…

Easy to use. You just fill the bag with as much water as you wish, screw the top back on and pop the bag over the side of the cistern.

easy to use does what it says on the tin but kinda wished i'd just put a brick inside the tank instead like they used to do in the 80s as that could be found free in a skip etc

I was a bit nervous about whether this would work as planned but it's been straightforward, easy to fit and completely forgotten about in the 2 months since I installed it. No difference to the flushing experience, it's just there doing it's thing quietly. Highly recommended. Other reviewers have highlighted it's no good for dual flush or narrow cisterns so do check if either of these apply to your loo.

This item has failed- was filling it up and then split as was lifting over to the cistern I had bought it in October but only just got around to using it so past returns date

L'installation est tout à fait faisable. Tout dépend du réservoir. Fait son job. mais attention, je l'ai fait tombé rempli d'eau et il s'est déchiré :-(

Après 1 mois d'utilisation, la chasse était cassé et j'ai donc retiré le produit par précaution. Le produit est correct, facile à remplir et à installer.

Très pratique,se pose facilement dans le bac WC. Les factures d'eau seront moins élevées.
