Very soothing
My son had a very sensitive scalp especially as he swims a lot. Can get very itchy and irritated. This shampoo immediately calms it all down. Especially when we're on holiday. Never go away without it.

Gentle for a sensitive scalp
My partner has a very sensitive scalp. Over the years we have used many different products for dandruff, sensitive scalps etc. We still haven't found the perfect product but this has been better than the others. There is less dandruff and sore spots, but it hasn't completely resolved it. It may work nicely on the scalp but I find that the hair comes out a little dry compared to other moisturising shampoos.We will keep using for now until a better product comes along.

Very soothing and gentle on coloured hair
I don’t usually bother writing reviews but I’m genuinely thrilled with this shampoo. I get a really itchy scalp that only ever seems to get better with prescription-only shampoo which strips my hair of moisture and washes out the colour. This is far more gentle and stopped the itching on the first wash. 3 washes in now and the itchy scalp has totally gone.

Not great
While this didn't irritate my scalp it didn't stop it from itching for long and it left my hair feeling very dry and coarse.Another fail..

BE CAREFUL
It's a thorough, deep, squeaky cleaning shampoo and it DID stop my scalp from itching. Good result achieved. I did, however, get the shampoo into my eyes. My fault and my fault alone. The pain was unimaginable. I bathed my eyes in clear, warm water for about five minutes and managed to get rid of the burning sensation. My eyes are still red and sore (four days later) and have been filled with a thick mucous. I am now on the mend. I didn't visit hospital because of COVID. The shampoo is good but I'm issuing you with a health warning. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.EDIT: 14th March 2022.I have discovered that DOVE BABY SHAMPOO is kind to my hair and scalp - no itching *\0/* .

Works and I use it several times a month. No medicinal smell. Works on body as well as the scalp.
