I have purchased 4 of these fantastic torches. They are dinky but extremely mighty. The light beam is so bright and the metal body is light but robust. I traded my old clunky torches with these and wouldn't go back. The batteries last ages, so the energy use is minimal. A must have

This torch is sold at a cost of £7.99 (15/01/2017) as a prime item through Amazon Prime items give a promise of next day delivery in regard to amazon prime members. There is no indication as to any potential additional postage costs in regard to non amazon prime members. This torch was delivered quickly. Ordered 12/01/2017, delivered 15/01/2017 along with other items. Delivered in a nice little cardboard box with cutouts for the torch, batteries and rechargeable holder. The torch is quite chunky, much chunkier than I expected, especially around the bulb. It is made of two separate pieces of machine turned metal.The bottom portion is dimpled to assist with grip, The lens / bulb end notched to assist holding and extending the torch. Extending / de-extending the torch either tightens or opens up the light beam. I did a few indoor measurements and sitting 15 feet from a wall the beam spread from 12 inches to just over 12 feet on the mid level light setting. The torch has a length of just under 6 inches fully extended. Close to 4 inches unextended. The base unscrews to let the three AAA battery holder be removed and the provided AAA batteries be fitted, flat end to the spring. There is also a small length of plastic tube which can be used for taking up the slack when using a thinner appropriate rechargeable battery. I recognise this plastic tube and its intention / use, because of personal experiences. There is nothing with the torch to indicate what alternative battery can be used. There is a decent adjustable wrist lanyard attached to the base of the torch. The torch is switched on by pressing the button once for each of the functions. Different fixed light levels and a flashing light. The light at its brightest is a powerful light, very suitable for dog walking and similar. Overall, This is a nice torch and should have a decent potential use period. (Subject to LED quality and of course treating the torch properly) This example is priced at the upper end of that which I would expect to find for this type of torch on the internet but significantly much better value that I would expect to find on the high street. I write this review based on my own opinions gleaned as a result of decades of experiences in a professional occupation throughout the world, as a consumer, as a property owner and raising a family. I have purchase a lot of these cree T6 led torches from different suppliers, they all look the same in appearance and invariably they all fail in the same way for myself, its always been the switches, I decided to try this one for my work as an aircraft inspection engineer as the switch is on the base and it doesnt bother with a plug in rechargeable port on the body of the torch, it also comes with a wrist strap which is essential for myself as you cannot be dropping these things on delicate aircraft parts and structures. The packaging is much the same as all the other cree T6 torches I have purchased and is good quality, the torch itself has a good heft to it and all the components are well put together and machined. The output of the torch is extremely good as all cree T6 torches are ( I truly doubt 2000 lumen claims ) but one of the differences I noticed with this one is the colour is whiter than other torches I have tried with no blue tinge to the output, now this could be just a lucky LED but it is a nice change and easier on the eyes after hours of inspecting, the beam zoom is also good and effective ( dont be worried about a square beam of light when fully zoomed as that is just the shape of the LED ). Overall the torch is better than the others I have purchased and doesnt seem to get too hot like some of the ones I have used , the only thing that went wrong is the wrist strap came apart at the clamp end which just took a screwdriver to prise open and a bit of glue to hold the strap in more securely before closing the clamp again , a very minor issue. I intend to buy another 4 of these to make sure I have a good supply of these for my work. Very recommended

Great product for the price. I got this for my daughter when she went out camping with scouts..Several modes to select but it’s very easy to figure out. Considerable battery life and light weight. You could adjust the beam focus by simply twisting the front of the torch. Pretty handy.

Compact and useful

Good little torch, bought for my grandson who’s going on his first 2 day school trip. He thinks it’s a great torch .

I ordered this just over a month ago. Not used it apart from putting batteries in when it first arrived. Just gone to use it and it wont power on correctly. Flickers on and off. Removed batteries, played about with it still flickering. Replaced batteries. Same. Please replace this torch and I will remove this review. This one is crap!
