I used this to allow the use of a 20' Cen-Tec 2" hose on my Ridgid vacuum that came with a 10' 1 7/8" hose and accessories.. It allows the higher flow and fewer clogs of the larger hose and keeps the wands and attachments of the vacuum. Cen-Tec measures the inside diameter of the hose where most other manufactures measure outside diameter, so the 2" Cen-Tec is the same as 2 1/2" and the 1 1/2" Cen-Tec is the same as 1 7/8". Once you know how Cen-Tec measures you can use their higher quality hose and attachments on your wet/dry vac with no fitment issues. This would be a 2 1/2 hose to 1 7/8" slip cuff using vacuum manufacturer measuring methods.

I ordered 2 inches and if came in 2 1/2 inches. Product seems good but just incorrectly picked and shipped.

This item fits a 2 1/2 inch hose and a 1 1/2 slip fit. Probably works very well if you have a 6 gallon + vacuum. Will not work on the I 7/8 O.D. hose for Ridgid vacuum. Not worth retuning but for my use garbage all the same.

The Diameter of the threaded opening that goes on the hose is a 1/2 inch bigger than the description. Unusable , will be returning
