I've started making my own bread so this little gadget is great for scoring the dough before baking. Easy to use and great idea

Does the job of holding a razor blade to slash your bread dough.Do be very careful putting the blade in, its quite risky turning the two halfs while avoiding the sharp edges. I decided to avoid going it too often and left it in while storing the lame in its pouch.

Underwhelmed to be honest. I was super excited but the blades were a bit blunt and the mechanism is fidgety and not really a 'pleasure' to use... It's not bad though

There is nothing much to this lame: it holds the blade securely and you can hold it easily and safely and get on to the main job: scoring the loaf in as detailed a way as you want.Done with the job, rotate the disks, store the blade away, tighten, and it's safe.You can make one for yourself, or you can buy this small wonder. It's functional and pretty, and quickly becomes indispensable.

Easy to grip and use to score sourdough bread prior to baking. A bit fiddly to open and close around the blade. Blade can be stored inside the case, but need to exercise care to ensure a corner isn’t left protruding to cause a hazard. The pouch enables the tool to be stored without retracting / removing the blade. Fits standard razor blades and therefore easy to get replacements when those supplied have been used.

I love this lame, I had previously tried one with a longer handle but I feel I have better results with this smaller one. Much easier to control the cuts. I would highly recommend for sour dough baking.

Love the idea of this but it is so dangerous! You can’t undo or do up without touching the blade
