The controller is a wonderful idea and covers the basic functions - on/off, change color and brightness and the music thingie. I wasn't impressed with this at first but I think it depends on the music as when I tried some 90's techno rock I was blown away - it was just like being in a club, if memory serves me correctly.The lights are great with a very sleek look and they get very bright. I wish the bases were a tad heftier to match the heftiness of the light bars but that a minor quibble. Set-up was a breeze.The included audio cable is a bit mystifying. I connects your PC's audio out to the controller (which seems redundant as there's a mic on the controller itself to hear the music) but there's also a branch out to a headphone jack which is fine except that it's on the end that goes in to PC (where it might be hard to reach) rather than the controller end, though I suppose no reason you can't reverse it.All in all, I am very pleased with this item.

Great desk light, simple set up, quality physical controls, great app usability and adjustablility. I enjoy that the physical controls are made of high quality plastic coated rubber, not some cheesy remote control(like most led lights). The lights may be used without the app, but Govee Home adds great options like daily schedules and segmented control. I would Highly Recommend these lights.

When I showed my adult daughter on my phone what I had sent him, she thought it was really cool and mentioned she wanted to buy one for herself, too. So I surprised her and bought another one for her. They both love their lights!My daughter loves that she can control the lights with her phone. The video is just a tiny sampling of the tons of different settings it can do.Since it’s not mine, I asked my daughter what is her most favorite thing about the lights? She responded, “The rainbow lights setting. I found that is the best lighting for filming videos.” She is a gamer and also films videos for social media.I asked her what her least favorite thing was? She looked at me like I was crazy and said, “Literally nothing!”So there you have it! Just from my personal observation—since we share an office—they’re lightweight, thin and small enough to fit it the tight space of her desk, and the colors are very vibrant. They definitely create a mood or atmosphere in the room for whatever she’s working on.

This is my second purchase of the Govee light bars and i use them to light up the area behind my monitor and it is super bright and nice and i love that you can change brightness and colors all with the little nice control box. Completely changes your whole setup! The only thing i disklike is the material they went for on the control box after a few months ur fingerprint smudges become really noticeable and its impossible to clean it off but other than that worth the money and looks great for any setup!

Bluetooth connects flawlessly Everytime with no issues at all. There are over 45 pre sets that I have counted so far within the downloadable app and software. I am sure any user/gamer will be happy with any preset function he/she chooses. Check out the video... Shipping was super fast thanks to Prime and the packaging was also pretty good. No complaints since day 1 now going on a month now since initial unboxing and set up. Build quality is outstanding also, they can move a bit when the desk is shaken but other then that they stay for the most part planted. I will not deduct a star due to this. They really make my whole gaming set up come to life they are fun little lights to play around with and I feel the price the company is asking for is more than fair. They also fit nicely next to my brand new infitibo speakers and really compliments their set up as well.
