For the price, I cannot believe the quality you get from this camera. The image stabilization is great. The quality of the image is so good I can't believe it. It's miles better than anything you get off your cell phone. It's small enough that nobody notices you are recording. This is a fantastic deal, get a hero 8 right now, the price is low, it's better than the 7, everyone is buying the more expensive and newer 9. Everything about it is great right now, go get it. Battery runs down really fast, that's to be expected in such a small device that outputs such a high quality image. I figure it's less than an hour on default settings. Batteries are cheap though. If you run into problems importing footage to your computer, make sure your computer is up to date enough. I almost thought the camera was broken because every movie I shot had freeze frames. Turned out to be software on my end was just too old to handle the great quality and file format this thing uses. It works well after I updated.

It's survived a pretty good tumble from 20 meters in the air on top of a drone that fell out of the sky. Its still working well! The only complaint I have is that like many other gopro hero black users the USB connection stopped working It no longer recognizes that you've plugged anything into the usb port. Which means it won't charge or download anything. So I just change the battery and pull the microsd card and move on with my day.

WARNING - for current Mac users. It’s going to require much more setup than you think. You’ll need SD cards, and a computer just to update the GoPro itself (if you don’t want their awful app). Which is another fun fact. You can’t download their app with anything below iOS16 for iPhone. Said app does not exist for mOS. A legacy app does exist for webcam use on mOS - but on top of all that? If you currently have Sonoma : it will not function as a webcam, with said app, without fettering your system settings. For what I paid? Im horrifically disappointed. I can see why other brands are pushing them out of the market - Their refusal to update their architecture is what I learned post-purchase? Apparently, an enormous and long-running issue. Beyond that , the claims of the battery life being awful are completely true. This thing burns out after about twenty minutes. And it sure would be convenient if I could record directly to my workstation to ameliorate the issues there , but that can’t happen due to the OS integration issues. The picture quality is fine, but chances are your phones camera is better - so get an SD card, save yourself the hassle, and money. Put it toward editing software that isn’t plagued with issues. If you’re absolutely looking for an -action cam- and don’t want to hold your phone? Do yourself a favor, buy a similar product from another company.

I paid about $240 on a promotion. GP has had the Hero 10 for a deep discount, on their site. I might have done that. But the price I paid is pretty great for what this camera does, and I don't worry about it much. The good thing is that the stabilization on the Hero 8 is close to fantastic. I ride an ebike up a very rough road and the picture is almost too smooth. It's just remarkable what the electronic stabilization can do. And these are pretty tough cameras. The picture is very nice, if a bit punched up. I guess there is a bland setting. The camera is a lot of fun. It's fun to go outside in the snow and rain. It's fun to point it at odd angle and mount it in weird places. Hey, you want a fantastic camera that does it all, get a Sony A7iii. But that's not reality. The stills from this camera are pretty good, but always wide views. The battery life honestly sucks.

This is my first time using a GoPro and I am very impressed. I love how small and compact the camera is. It is only a few inches big which makes it so easy and convenient to put in your bag and bring it anywhere you go. I found it to be very user friendly and easy to use. This is a great camera for capturing outdoor activities and then being able to share your experience with your friends and family. There are so many different features on the camera and it’s a lot of fun trying out different things especially slow motion. The quality of video is wonderful and very impressive for being such small device. I cannot wait to take this on my next vacation to document all of our different activities and experiences!

I love my GoPro. I started a Nature video channel, and wanted something that I could use under water. This camera is perfect. I have a special lanyard that I use with it, because it didn’t work the way I wanted it to being mounted to my snorkel. Once you turn it on, you can leave it on while you’re swimming around and searching for turtles or other underwater creatures. I just grab it, press the start button, and it starts filming. Once I’m done I pressed stop. Having the ability to do this, while you’re searching for different things that you wanna take footage up, really saves on battery power. I couldn’t be any more happier with this camera. You can go back through your videos with the camera, just to see how things turned out. If you feel like you needed to get more footage, make sure it’s charged, and you can head back in the water and do it again. this probably bought a lot of joy in my life, and is completely waterproof and doesn’t need any type of packaging to keep it waterproof underwater. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. This is great for any type of movies that you want to make, or just for capturing your travels.

Product is good however advertisement said comes with extra battery but only one battery was supplied. Very disappointed.

For being a small screen I was worried about the quality of the graphics when I transferred it to a 52inch desktop screen but to my astonishment it had the best quality possible. It is the best action camera out there , yes the go pro hero 10 and 11 have a few extra features but this has everything you could possibly need. If you have the money to spend its a good option, but you might be better off waiting for a sale such as black Friday or Christmas. cons the sound quality is amazingly clear within about 35inches, but any farther it will not pick it up. the battery will last about an hour, but if you have a battery bank for your phone you can use that to charge the go pro has you can charge the battery that is in it with a type c charger. the battery is removeable and i would recommend buying a triple charger with three batteries for about $40 -$60 and that should get you through any trip you have planned.

Story time children. Didn't think I'd be writing a review like this. GoPro has a stable red light that doesn't turn off. The camera doesn't turn on or charge. I've tried different cables, charging boxes, outlets, computers, batteries a combination of all as well as the fix videos and suggestions found on Amazon, YouTube and the GoPro website. Nothing seems to work. From the research I've done it sounds like it's a faulty camera. Hoping to get it replaced. GOOD LUCK. I've tried contacting customer support, the seller, GoPro, nothing. Amazon can offer a full refund but no replacement. So if you get it on sale, like I did, you're on your own or you have to pay more money for the same product. SCAM. Pray nothing goes wrong with it or you're out of luck or you'll have to fight to get to where you want. Careful who you buy from. Awful experience and definitely loss of business. Update: Just been informed that the seller lies to you as well. Telling you that they are not the seller of the item. Add theft to the list as well. TTP -- money stealers. Update: I think Amazon Customer service is going to pull through no thanks to the seller. Not a replacement but hopefully get down the price originally paid for. Just a bit of a hassle to get everything back and order another one that isn't defective. Fingers crossed. Update: After going through customer service several times and then speaking with a "manager" on the phone, it looks like I'm not going to recieve the original deal. They after I had returned the defective item, I was supposed to get a call back from Amazon, the "manager", and set up the order again and receive the same price as originally paid for. Nothing. No call. Called them and apparently they cannot do that. Thanks. They will refuse to give any sort name or record number with regards to the call. Little shady and not impressed at all. Definitely going to be spending less on Amazon or using Amazon as a last resort because of this experience. Going back to my original statement. SCAM.
