Powerful blades, compact, super easy to use
I bought this mini chopper as I spend much time chopping and dicing vegetables and thought I would give it a try following a positive recommendation from my mother. I really believed I would send it back. It would be too small, or not powerful enough. Well, I kept it and it is unbelieveably handy.Good pointsIt chops larger quantities than I expected. It will happily do a full onion and a pepper. Its is the easier thing ever to use as there is a thick cord that you pull (so no plugs). The size of the finished chopped vegetables depends on how much you pull the cord. You can easily see how large/small the chopping is via the see through plastic bowl. It dices magnificently small if needed.Cleans really easily.Takes up hardly any space.Rubber on the bottom so stays firmly on the bench whilst chopping.ConsNo cons really but you need to be super careful of the blade. It is mega sharp (which is probably why it works so well). You also need to make sure the blade is sitting properly on the little stand in the middle of the container. If its not properly on, then when you pull the string, it is not going to work. I only found this out after putting my vegetables in, screwing the lid down and pulling the cord to no avail. I was just telling myself that it was rubbish, then realised it was me not using it properly. It really is a great little gadget. I thought due to its low price it would be chatty and no use. Okay so it is lightweight (ish) plastic, but it does have a sturdy feel when its assembled. I have used it numerous times since I got it and it never feels like a chore to wash as some appliances do.I use it to make egg mayonnaise filling (see pic 3 and 4 above), soups, curries, cheese savoury mix - this was probably one of the only things that took a bit of work. It didn't seem to want go through the cheddar very easily for some reason, but with perservance, it did (pic 1 and 2).I can't praise this gadget enough. It is so time saving. Oh and another thing, no more tears whilst chopping onions!

Well made, easy to use, easy to clean too. Very good.
This is such a useful and powerful little item for the kitchen. we had a similar item but with the string pull, but this with the handle is so much easier to use and I think more efficient. The ability to change the gears to stir things rather than chop them is very useful. Easier to clean too as the gears are plastic and it just seems easier than getting the string wet which was a problem before. Just better all round.

Great when it works
Chops up brilliantly, very finely. Word of warning; allow the string to roll back in relatively slowly. I went really crazy pumping it hard (fun and easy) and the string got tangled on itself. Entirely my fault, but I had to unscrew it to figure it out and fix it. Don’t be like me, take your time.

Good chopper
I am really impressed with this chopper, it does manage to hold a decent amount of vegetables (I had 520ml the version) and does a great job of chopping into fine pieces. It does take some fiddling to start off some of the harder vegetables, but usually a back-and-forth motion is usually enough (if you have the handle version). Worked on Cauliflower, Brocolli, green beans and celery, although the celery wasn't chopped up as finely as the others, but still in decently small chunks. With a silicone spatula it was easy to scrape all the veg out.Very happy and will definitely save me a lot of time chopping vegetables. Doesn't require too much force either. Be careful when cleaning the blades - did manage to cut myself but just shows how easy they can cut vegetables.

At least it's compact?
Perfect for shredding things down, problem is you can't expect it do to much. Part of the handle has broken from the tension of my trying to shred an onion I'd taken down already to 1/8 and at that point it really doesn't seem worth it from a disability/energy conservation perspective.Once it's going, it's decent enough. I basically use it for dicing onions and mushrooms at this point. I don't expect it do anything else I might need honestly, just pay the extra £10 and get an electric food processor.
