Solid little server... completely silent, with 4x Intel gigabit ethernets
The good: The hardware has been seems to be perfect. Amazing. It's fast, silent and runs linux, freebsd or pfsense like a dream. Throw an SSD drive or CF card in there and it's the perfect pfsense router/firewall box. Also I've never seen anything boot up so fast in my life. Seriously, POST takes like no time at all.The bad: Habey has no documentation. In fact, the two PDFs I found online for the BIS-6634 contradicted each other about RAM. It came with no documentation or instructions. Also right now there are issues with the 64-bit video card drivers in FreeBSD so I could only install 32-bit pfsense,The ugly: This thing only supports a VERY SPECIFIC and apparently hard to find type of RAM. I spent way too much time trying to buy the right kind, only to find out the RAM was not compatible with the motherboard.
