Tales from the City Among the Stars: Coloring Book (Hanna Karlzon)

I love this book from the quality of paper, binding, size, cover to the pictures. I had seen this book reviewed many times on YouTube and never thought much of it. Then I saw a review from a YouTuber that said that she bought this book on a whim but after getting it, holding it and flipping through it, she loved it. She said if you are on undecided about this book, get it. You won’t be disappointed. I always wanted a hardback coloring book so I checked for it and it was on sale at the time so I bought it. I loved it and now have 6 Hanna Karlzon books and feel the same about all of them. Although I made not love every picture, every single picture in those books calls to me to color it. I look at the page and know how I want to color it. That YouTubers advice was spot on! If you are unsure if you want this book or not, just do it, I think you will be pleased.

Love the magical illustrations of this author and have colored a number of the books.

I purchased this coloring book sight unseen, because I’m already a huge fan of Hannah Karlzon. I was not disappointed. The illustrations are beautiful, it’s got fantastic paper for colored pencils, and it’s imaginative as always. It’s a joy to color in and I’m happy to add it to my growing collection.

Quality!!! Paper is excellent and illustrations are enchanting. Her books are in my top 3 favorites. This is no exception. Interesting details and AMAZING artwork.

I love Hanna's books, but it drives me crazy that she and some of the other big coloring book artists, continue to make these books not single sided. Ok that rant over. I was not expecting so many steampunk type drawings (my fault, I did not even look for a preview of this book) I bought 2 books, but, I have to be honest, if it was any other artist, I would have sent one back, as there are not enough pages I will color to worry about it being double sided. I will keep these for the collectable factor, not knowing how many more books will be offered. Have fun coloring!!!

this was my first large karlzon and it was challenging. i tried neocolors 2 for the sky and clouds and it wasn't quite what i had hoped. you know, when you expect perfect results the second time you try a new coloring medium. but i did love the drawing!

I love that the book is hardcover.The paper is thick, mostly smooth. It has a slight tooth so you can use wax based pencils like prismacolor. I used my oil-based polychromos for the first picture and the bird in the nest I used prismacolors. I have to say, on this paper, I like the Prismas better. They go on super smooth and you can layer, layer, layer!

As always, a beautiful book. Can't wait to color in it. Came in great shape and in a timely manner.
