GREAT VALUE! This thing is awesome for the money! Gives highest & lowest temp in field of view, as well as temp of center crosshair. Gives a decent quality resolution heatmap, update rate is just fine. I use it to find insulation leaks in houses, hot / cold pipes, analyze engine operations etc. The software is super intuitive, when you plug the camera into Android, the program starts and goes straight to the heat map display. 100% would buy again.

I recently purchased this camera and so far it's been awesome! It's absolutely tiny and comes with a nice storage case that fits the camera and USB-C extension cable. It also includes a macro lens, which is great for close-up work. The app is easy to use and has many color options and settings to configure. The high frame rate and resolution are impressive. The video does appear to stutter periodically but I think this might just be the camera recalibrating. I've used it for electrical work, plumbing, auto repair, and to find air gaps and missing insulation in my home. Overall a solid purchase and a must have tool!!

having used handheld thermal cameras before, this little device greatly exceeded my expectations. The Macro lens is essential for board troubleshooting and works very well. The standout features are great resolution, android app compatibility, ease of use, portability, versatility and value. There are many practical uses for this device beyond device/PCB diagnostics and troubleshooting including HVAC, energy efficiency, car/engine diagnostics etc... I highly recommend this device.

The app required to use this camera will not work on modern android phones. It is unavailable on my Pixel 9 which is over a year and a half old. Before you purchase look for the app in the app stores and ensure it can be installed on your phone. I may update my review after I dig out an old phone to try it with... Edit: Mea culpa, but I see the fine print now that says 'not suitable for pixel phones.' However I also tried a Samsung Tab A8, and a Pixel 7 for good measure - neither works. I found an absurdly short list of supported phones a website, so I'm trying a 7 year old phone next...

tried downloading the app on my 1 year old samsung android phone, got message from playstore "Looking for P2 Pro? This app isn't available for your device because it was made for an older version of Android. fortunately I have an android tablet thats about 3 or 4 years old and i was able to find and download the app for that and it seems to work fine. My tablet hasn't been updated in long time, so I thought would be good idea to let others know. If you have a new phone running latest android OS it wont let you install the app. this is as of today Nov 19 2025. hopefully this will be addressed in the near future, If you are thinking of buying this I'd recommend you attempt to download the app first, search the playstore for P2 Pro.

So I've been using this camera for about a month now working on various PCBs and let me tell you, It blows my other 600$ thermal camera out of the water. The macro lens on the P2 Pro is top notch bar none. The resolution is even more impressive. It's so clear and crisp. I can see right down to the smallest of caps to determine faults. If i could give this 6 stars I would. I even used this the other day on a furnace and it worked brilliantly. The app is quite good. Easy to set up and use and has never given me any problems. It's crazy how small this thing is but even crazier how well it performs. It may be small and compact but its also very durable as i have used it alot in the past month and has not faltered once. Now I understand that its not the cheapest but seriously don't hesitate and just buy it. You wont regret it and more than likely be thinking why have I been using these cameras with crap resolution and terrible functionality. Thanks so much InfiRay. 😃

Great hardware camera. Small and lightweight. Sharp IR focus at mid-range distances. Instructions are non-existant until you find the correct app. The included booklet tells you to search fo "P2 Pro" in the App store. That search brings no useful apps that work with this camera. After searching on YouTube, I found the correct App by chance. The app is called "Thermal Master". I almost returned this item due to the inability to find the correct software (Android). This is not a professional level IR camera. Reports would be time consuming and difficult to complete. HOWEVER ... This works perfectly for the homeowner looking for a way to find insulation issues, water leaks, engine inspection, electrical inspection, etc.

It's extremely small. Looks really well built, almost entirely metal. It's nice that you don't need to charge another battery, as it's powered from the usb-c connection. It takes great photos, and it pretty sensitive. It's neat to walk around and look at the heat from my footsteps. I didn't have any issues with the app or setting it up. Will work nice for PCB inspection. Nice little device that will come in handy a lot.

Warning: you need to install the app called TEMP MASTER, the other software (name P2 Pro) does not function properly, bet with TEMP MASTER the software functions great! (See final picture) I almost sent it back until i discovered that Temp Master fixed it. Good camera!

AQUOS R8 Proで動きました。今のスマホのシステムは、Android 15なので、推奨されるアプリの「P2 Pro」は使えず、代わりに「Temp Master」をインストールしました。Temp Masterを使う時に、アプリの権限として、端末内の写真と動画へのアクセス権をフルにしないと、使えないようです。 なお、付属品として、カラビナ付きの柔らかめの小さいハードケースと、USB-Cの長さ20cmほどのケーブルが1本付属していました。このケーブルはコネクターがオス-メスになっていて、これを使うとスマホからセンサー部分を離して使えます。また、スマホに挿すオスのコネクターは、90度横向きになっているので、使い勝手が良いです。

Primäre Begründung für den Kauf war die Untersuchung der Fußbodenheizung, da diese nicht an allen Stellen gleich warm wird. Die einzelnen Stränge, wenn diese nicht zu dicht nebeneinander verlaufen und damit durch die Wärmeausbreitung mit einander verschmelzen, sind zu erkennen. An der unterschiedlich warmen Zuleitung direkt nach den Ventilen konnte ich dann erkennen, dass ein Ventil defekt war. Der Unterschied war im Wärmebild direkt zu sehen, jedoch durch die geringen Vorlauftemperaturen nicht direkt zu sehen. Dieses anschauliche Beispiel zeigt für mich mein erstes Fazit nach knapp zwei Wochen: + Auflösung ist gut genug für den privaten Gebrauch, um kleinere Temperaturunterschiede zu erkennen. Auf dem einen Bild sind links meine Fußabdrücke durch dicken Socken nach wenigen Sekunden stehen auf der Fläche zu erkennen + Auch wenn die physikalische Pixelanzahl klein erscheint, ist dies zum Stand der Rezension eine der größten Auflösungen, die zu einem sinnvollen Preis von Privatanwender gekauft werden können. Es ist ausreichend für Aufnahmen, siehe bspw. die Aufnahme eines Küchengeräts (Bosch Cookit). + Die optionale Makrolinse macht Spaß und erlaubt die Aufnahme von kleinen Strukturen, siehe das Bild eines Raspberry Pis in Betrieb. + Entweder lässt man die Software selber Punkte mit Temperaturen anzeigen oder kann diese in einem separaten Messmenü selber auswählen. Sehr praktisch, wobei man für filigrane Strukturen eine ruhige Hand benötigt. o Die angezeigten Temperaturen sind nicht immer verlässlich, dies hängt jedoch mit den physikalischen Grundlagen zusammen. Hier erwarte ich auch keine präzisen Messungen, denn es kommt auf die Temperaturdifferenzen an! - Jedes Bild hat ein Wasserzeichen bzw. den Produktnamen im Bild. - Die Wahl einer selbst definierten Farbskala, also der Minimal- und Maximalwert ist nicht trivial, hier kämpfe ich noch. Dies wäre für Vergleichsbilder interessant. Fazit: Ich bin bisher begeistert von Auflösung, der Bildwiederholrate, den dargestellten Details und der Größe der Kamera. Bisher noch nicht optimal ist der Produktnamen im Bild und die manuelle Definition einer Farbskala.
