A BDSM Dream
A total random read for me from a book I’ve had in my Kindle for so very long! And not one regret.Jessica finds herself at the wrong place at the wrong time (or right place/right time) and unknowingly stumbles across Shadowlands. A sex club. She finds herself in this world she never knew existed and with the lack of passion in her own love/sex life she finds herself curious. Especially with the Master of the club. Master Z.Master Z shows Jessica a whole new world of pleasure and surprisingly, love.

New Master of Romance...
I have been meaning to write a review of this book for a long time for amazon readers so now I have the opportunity. Masters of The Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair is one of my all time favorite books. Not only do you get Master Z's story but you get Master Dan's also. So the price is actually for two books. That are extremely well worth it, trust me.Club Shadowlands-Jessica couldnt belive it when she hydroplaned off into a ditch and stranded her car. In the middle of a tropical storm raging in Florida, chances were good that she wasnt getting unstuck any time soon. So she headed to the nearest house she saw. Once getting there her life was going to change forever. The moment Master Z saw her his Dom instincts were fired. He wanted her and there was something about her that he hadnt encountered in a long time.Jessica's first venture into the world of The Shadowlands was something completely foreign and totally taboo for her. But after spending one night with Master Z, something had changed inside her. Could she let go of her inhibitions to snare the handsome Dom, or would she let her fears get the best of her.Sinclair does a wonderful job of introducing the reader slowly to the world of bondage in Club Shadowlands. There was never any objectionable material in my eyes. Master Z was very much the alpha male and that doesnt differ much from most other romance novels. I would say to people that are hedging on the borderline about the BDSM that this story will change your mind. Cherise will suck you right in and you will be hooked and begging her for more of her Masters of The Shadowlands.Dark Citadel-Master Dan was one of the most sought after Doms in Club Shadowlands. Handsome, strong, a great top. All the subs knew that one night was all you would get out of him. His past scarred him so badly one night was all he could give to anyone. Until Kari.Kari and her boyfriend had made an agreement to visit Club Shadowlands to explore some of his "wilder" sides. The whole BDSM thing being foreign to Kari, she was willing to try something new. After her boyfriend got a little too controlling Kari decided her time there was done. She headed out the door, but not before Master Z intervenes in both her and Dans lives. When asked if she would like to continue the evening, but with a more experienced Dom, Kari agrees. After all Dan is extremely handsome and does something to her insides she had never felt before. After a brief encounter with him though, she believes its all over and she wont be topped by him again, until his jealousy flares and he claims her for another night. Will Kari be the sub to bring Dan out of his downward spiral. Can she convince him there is more to life than holding onto the past so tightly? Or will she give up and leave Dan and Shadowlands behind her forever?Dark Citadel is my favorite of the Shadowlands series. Dan is definetly a wounded hero type and those are always my favorites. Rather than the man rescuing the woman, its the other way around. Even though he may fight and deny it Kari is pulling him out of his hard shell he created. Sinclair only gets better with each new work that she writes. She introduces a little more of the BDSM scene in this book but in no way hard core. Now I will also say that the Shadowlands series doesnt stop after these two. The third is with Master Nolan, a much darker, much more sinister man. His story is another very much worth reading, but as the heroine had come from a terribly abusive man, the BDSM in Breaking Free was much darker than that of the first two stories. Still a great read! Her next series is called Master of the Mountain. This in my opinion is Cherise's best work by far! The characters are so well developed, they both have such scarred psyches that it leaves you wondering how they will ever fall for each other. Trust me, Master is so worth your time reading. There is a small amount of bondage in it but nothing offensive.Trust me, picking up any one of Sinclair's books is well worth the read.

Just as good the 2nd time. Excellent BDSM book for beginning BDSM readers :)
Love me some Master Z and the Shadowlands. Mmmm. If there was ever something that could tempt me into actually moving back to Florida it would be Club Shadowlands and the luscious, swoonworthy Masters that work, play and love there. Seriously these men are all kinds of make your panties melt hot. Especially Master Z who runs the place and his brand new subbie, Jessica. The quick of it is that Jessica is having a bitch of a day. Pretty much everything is going wrong ending with an armadillo, lots of rain and landing her car in a ditch on the side of the road. I mean. Can't a girl catch a break? Trudging along to the nearest house she stumbles into Club Shadowlands--a BDSM club--and the sexy and mysterious Master Z who's all on board with introducing her to his decadent world“This was like being Alice in a very twisted Wonderland...”Lucky, lucky bitch! I seriously love Master Z. He's pretty much my older man fantasy come to life. Holy flipping hell. I would be a puddle around him. What I loved both times around is how safe he made me feel in this world. First time with getting introduced to BDSM right along with Jessica and this time just the comfort of a Master Dom who KNOWS what he's doing and has a gift for getting inside people's minds to see what they really need. He can make a girl shiver in all kinds of wickedly good ways. *nods*shirtless, man candy, alpha male, goatee, david gandyThen there's Jessica who was a pretty awesome heroine. She's rocking some curves and isn't rail then or perfect physically--another thing I love about Sinclair's writing. The women feel real and come in all body types. And their hero's totally worship them for every single bit of themselves. Anywho. Jess is a feisty one but can be a little shy and conservative at the same time. She's also one who will not back down when she thinks someone is in need of help even if it gets her in some rather...sticky situations. Like I said. My first go around I was experiencing it all with Jessica as she uncovered the world for the first time and I totally connected with her because of that. It was fun exploring as she did. It never felt overwhelming or too scary.Things are steamy as all get out between these two and kick off pretty quickly. And I loved it. Zachary is a talented talented man no matter what the situation and you can feel that power and control just seeping off the pages. Gah. I love when an author can really make you feel that. The sex scenes are just as intense and even though these two have just met the connection and trust between them is just incredible. Even when scenes are out in the open--in a club setting-- they have such an intimate and powerful feel to them.On re-read my only issue was that since it originally came out Sinclair did a bit of scene editing in one spot and I didn't love the change. It made it more watered down in my opinion in that spot and while the original scene had some edge to it I loved it and really preferred the original.I could easily go on and on about Club Shadowlands. The characters just touched my heart and made me want to be right there with them. The Masters are scorching hot alpha Doms that know how to wield a punishment but they're sweet and caring too and oh they can make things fun and light hearted when they want. If you've ever been curious about BDSM romances Sinclair and Club Shadowlands are the place to start. Hot and steamy, full of passion, intensity and humor. They're everything I look for in an erotic romance. Sinclair had me smiling, sighing and having a serious swoon. Just the perfect BDSM-y read for me each time around.

A good introduction to Club Shadowlands
I enjoyed reading this book. As expected, it’s a hot little number that will have you requiring a couple of cold showers! This story is a good introduction to Club Shadowlands. I felt a bit like Jessica walking into the unknown but I soon learned what was what, and who was who and that was all thanks to Master Z.I love witnessing the chemistry that Jessica and Zachary share, although I wish I had felt it myself and connected with the characters. I thought the author did a good job of allowing me to see how much Jessica was nervous and curious about the BDSM lifestyle and I loved that Zachary understood her and gained her trust putting her at ease when necessary but enabled her to push her boundaries. The scenes that we are privy too are detailed and hot, which I enjoyed.I’ve had this book on my kindle for years and I was reminded about it yesterday and so decided to read it. Would I recommend it? Yes. Will I continue reading the series? Maybe if the author puts them into KU so I can borrow them through my subscription. I’m not sure I’d spend the money on each book individually based on what I have just read.

Good quick read
This was a good quick read. The characters were good and the storyline was enjoyable.Jessica and Master Z we’re good characters. Jessica knows nothing of the lifestyle and stumbles into the club by mistake. Master Z takes to her and introduces her to things. I enjoyed watching them together and seeing him teach her about the lifestyle. Her thought same concerns were natural and down to earth, and I also enjoyed seeing how he felt as well. The scenes together were good.My main issue with this book is the tense that it is written in. I just prefer first person POV. I also would have liked to see a little more after the end. How did they develop and grow after?Overall, this was a quick enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it.Jessreviews.co.uk

BDSM
Plot spoilers alert, don't read on if knowing part of the plotline would ruin your reading enjoyment.I understand that the book has to move along at pace, but there is an underlying concern for me regarding dubious consent when Jessica is introduced to punishment within hours of an accident, being frozen and given the option of sitting on the floor in thin clothing in a cold vestibule, or going into a warm room. Not really much of a choice. The simple fact that she has no clue about BDSM lends itself to the dubious consent concern. There are a couple of grammatical errors but they don't kill the book, and a couple of editorial errors that really should have been picked up.There is no swearing that I can recall except for one instance used in context during a confrontation. There is copious amounts of sex including use of sex toys etc.I can't abide the use of 'pet ' when addressing submissives because not only is it lazy it's also demeaning. I don't think for one minute it's used as an endearment, since half the time it's used when the 'sub' seems to be put in their place. However, the characterisation is good, the storyline well crafted even if the timeline is rushed and if you are into BDSM this is certainly the book for you, although there isn't much romance. I have all of the books in the series so obviously I would recommend them.

My first read from this author. The script is an easy, simple worded text that flows through nicely. I found that the heroine's physical description described in this story did not match the cover of the book, I would have liked to know her actual size as it was mentioned on several occasions during the story; especially as Jessica had a major insecurity towards her body image and had to be reassured on several occasions from Master Z. I liked that the short time that Jessica and Master Z shared together that the author did not write how they fell in love, like most author's always insinuate after such a short amount of period the hero and heroine spend together, Cherise Sinclair kept it simple and uncomplicated with their attraction for one another. I would not mind reading how their attraction grows or if they depart from each other in a later sequel, especially as Cherise Sinclair have written 12 books so far regarding Club Shadowlands stories and the Dom's that frequents in this clubhouse.

Fantastic free read - get it now!
I cannot believe that I have never read any of Ms Sinclair's books before, this situation will be changing immediately! I really, really liked this book. The cover explains the book really well, so I won't bother going over it again, but I will tell you this -This book is a really great introduction for someone who may be interested in reading this type of story, it is not heavy or graphic. Full credit must be given to the author for the great sexual tension shown by Master Z and Jessica and also for the way she portrayed Master Z as a wonderful Dom, but shows patience when dealing with the quiet and reserved Jessica, bringing her out of her shell to show "the real her"! I loved the other characters in the book to, namely Master Cullen and Master Dan and look forward to reading their stories. The author's talent with words, bought a smile to my lips, with subtle humour and a occasional blush! You will enjoy this story, you will hide what you are reading and maybe your blushes, but you will continue reading, as it is addictive, in a very god way! Highly recommended.
