Great PIV card reader
I use this because I can prop it up front and center in front of my keyboard, to remind me to grab my PIV card when I come and go. I’ve bought many of these over many years. Wonderful product.

Catfished quality.
Extremely disappointed. The item I received was nothing like the photo. I opened my package to find an old and worn product. The reader was already discolored, scratched, and stained. Obviously not a new or quality product. Was not at all what i was expecting.

NOT a good choice for Mac users
NOT a good choice for Mac users. I ended up giving it away to a Windows user because I couldn't get it to work.

It's a smart card reader
Works well on Windows 10 and 11 workstations, haven't tried on other operating systems. This works well out of the box for using my CAC to access my email, though, so all is good so far! I've been using Cherry products for years and they always have great quality. Love how sturdy the weighted base is so inserting and removing CAC with one hand is easy and convenient. I wouldn't get this one for travel though!

Required for work login.
Cherry Electronics ST-1144UB is standard CAC reader that just works. No drivers needed for Windows or Mac OS. Just plug in and it finds the device and use.

Ottimo lettore smart card
