Quite a few stitches came undone after the very first wash. Which is a shame, because I don't get how it would make sense to cut corners by using a poor quality thread when the rest of the materials and craftsmanship are this good. 100% cotton (except for synthetic skirt, which is still nice to the touch and doesn't have a plasticy feel to it).Overall a quality protector, would say it's well worth its price if not for the poor stitching. Maybe they just want people to buy a new one every year. It held up well in wash, again, except the stitches. The batting didn't shift or clump, it feels the same as before the wash.

The description states made in Canada, but the product packaging/label clearly states made in China. Intentionally misleading.

I bought this almost a year ago, and love it. It was slightly over-sized when new, and after being machine washed and dried it is now a good fit on a queen mattress. At this time in my life, I have found that all-cotton clothing helps to keep my body temperature from getting too hot, so I searched for a mattress cover to do the same. This cover has done that for me, as the shell and the fill are 100% cotton, at a reasonable price. The sides are a non-cotton fabric which stretch easily to fit the mattress. Other all-cotton covers are much more expensive. And the so-called 100% cotton mattress covers I found in the department and home stores meant the shell was cotton, but the fill was poly-something. Crazy, but, I'll say this cover has helped cure me from sleepless nights.
