This is a non technical review of my experience with the PETKIT FRESH ELEMENT SOLO. I'm not going to list the specs etc. but rather give my thoughts after using it for a few months now. Firstly after looking a various cat feeders, I decided to go with the Petkit automatic cat feeder given it offers notifications on my phone and I'm really glad I did. It gives piece of mind getting a notification after each feed or when food is low etc. If I didn't receive such notifications then I wouldn't know if it ever failed to dispense food. Without this feature, you would have to be checking the feeder very often to confirm it's still working. The notification feature alone make it worth the higher price over other feeders that doesn't offer this feature. The app does the job although after it's setup, I rarely have to use it. I also have the Petkit water fountain and I periodically check in on the app to review everything is working as expected and to check when desiccant and filter are due to be changed (the latter being for the water fountain). I also give my cat a packet of wet food daily in between dry food; sometimes my cat is a bit fussy with wet food and goes off it for a few days so on occasions, I go into the app and manually give an extra feeding of dry food instead (or press the button on the side of the feeder as I'm passing to dispense an extra meal). Initially and over a few days I had to determine the ideal quantity size for each feed. I feed my cat with dry food in the morning, lunch and supper time and offer a packet of wet food early evening. After working out the right balance, my cat is not hanging around where she's fed wanting more food and she soon eats all the food that's dispensed. When I started using it, I checked the portion size and tried to offer a similar amount to what I would have normally given but found I had to tweak it a bit. Also, given it's automatic, rather than feeding my cat twice a day as I previously did, I now feed her four times in total which seems to work well. My cat seems to be very content with this regime. As above, I've been using the cat feeder for a few months now and it's worked flawlessly. Note the desiccant needs to be replaced every 30 days and it's not particularly expensive however I purchased 3rd party food grade desiccant packets which work out more cost effective than the Petkit replacements. The food is air-tight sealed within the feeder and with the aforementioned desiccant it is fresher than when I didn't have this device. The feeder and the water fountain both contributes to ensuring my cat is being given fresh food and water at a set times. I would recommend this device without hesitation and if you don't opt for this specific model, I would urge you to ensure you get one with the smart notifications.

Update: Able to fix this issue by adding battery and reconnect wifi several times. prompt response from vendor. so star updated! I like the design and build quality of the product. also love the idea that i can monitor my cat feeding history from automatic feeder. However, I have been using this for few days and the feeder never dispense feed as planned. it always show feeding history unknown and mentioned the device wasn't connected to the internet. Submit a ticket to Petkit support today. will see how it goes. might consider to return if problem persists.

Done what I expected. Feeding on schedule without issues. Container lasted 3 weeks

Broke suddenly after 13 months. Started off by the app saying it couldn’t connect to the internet when it was connected. After that it just dispensed whenever it wanted and the amount it wanted, but the app didn’t record it. Then finally it failed to dispense when it should have done. Avoid I paid £59.99 for 13 months use.

Reliable cat feeder, it's been quite a while since purchase, decided to put in a review as compared to the unit it replaced it has been a very solid performer. The app is much better than I thought, added to the notifications you can receive when out and about it's turned out to be quite useful and essential to ensuring our cat gets his food without issue. The flexibility of the scheduling is a big plus and being able to easily stop the schedule for say a holiday, is something we've grown to appreciate considering the one we had from another manufacturer you had to unplug etc. Works well and certainly has already paid for itself in value.

I bought this to feed my cat whilst I went on holiday at Christmas. It was really easy to set up and to schedule the times when my cat would be fed. The quantities not so much as they are in “Cups”, which is a US measurement so it took a few attempts to get the volumes right. The cat feeder has a desiccant sachet for keeping the food dry but no info on how long they last. The phone app to configure and manage the feeder is very good and issues notifications when feeds have been delivered. My cat was happy as he got fed.

Pretty good, easy to use. Unfortunately, it broke a couple of weeks after the warranty expired, and my dog choked on a broken part that fell into the feeding bowl. Since then, unusable.

Honestly amazing product. We fill the bucket once every 2 weeks and we setup different feeding times per day so the cat does not get used to the times she gets het feeding which too prevent lazyness. It took around 30minutes to setup the times and ive never had to change them since. (i really dont understand all the complaining in the reviews about this.... anyways) Cons: Only one person can be logged into the app so I cannot have my partner logged in as well. And I would like to see a better "empty bucket" detection since we only get the alert when there is litterally no more food left in the bucket and we have no idea how much grams of food was not dispensed in this time. Hense why we systematicly fill it every 2 weeks.

Sono supersoddisfatta di questo prodotto, cercavo una ciotola rialzata inclinata per evitare al mio pelosino di piegare troppo il collo e ho trovato questo prodotto eccezionale! Ho comprato sia la versione doppia che quella singola e sono entrambe perfette. Sono arrivate il giorno seguente in pacchi chiusi che non mostravano il contenuto. Li ho utilizzati subito e devo dire che oltre ad essere molto belle, sono anche molto resistenti; qualità testata anche dal fatto che la ciotola trasparente al primo lavaggio mi è scappata dalle mani (perché ho un gattino che vuole sempre curiosare cosa faccio ❤) e ed cascata a terra da più di un metro di altezza e non si è nemmeno rigata. Il mio gattino è felicissimo e sicuro anche il suo collo!!! 😻 e inoltre le crocchette non sono più in giro sul tappetino perché quelle che escono dalla ciotola, finiscono sulla base bianca. SUPER!!!

Ce double bol à nourriture pour chats est vraiment très réussi car il combine esthétique et fonctionnalité. Les plastiques sont de très bonne qualité et les deux bols, bien que fabriqués en matière plastique, sont aussi transparents que du verre. Cela représente un avantage car il y aura moins de risques de les casser lors du nettoyage. Cependant, il ne faudra pas utiliser de matière abrasive pour leur entretien car ils se rayeront facilement. Le socle est très bien conçu, il est très stable et est équipé de patins antidérapants en dessous pour qu'il ne bouge pas lorsque le chat mange. Le socle fait aussi office de réceptacle et récupère les croquettes que le chat laisse tomber en mangeant. Les bols s'enlèvent et se remettent très facilement et sans forcer, un quart de tour suffit à les mettre en place. Il est possible de les installer dans deux positions différentes suivant la taille du chat. Ce bol à nourriture est un très bel objet, hélas, le logo de la marque imprimé en grosses lettres sur le devant vient un peu gâcher son design. Ce n'est qu'un détail et ce bol à nourriture a tout de même un très beau style. Je suis très content de cet achat mais les bols auraient mérités d'être légèrement plus larges. Il est facile à nettoyer à la main, je ne préfère pas le passer au lave vaisselle car il est possible que la chaleur de celui-ci déforme et endommage les plastiques. Le rapport qualité-prix de ces bols pour chats est excellent. En résumé, Les plus: ✅ beau style et beau design ✅ bols bien pensés et bien conçus ✅ plastiques de très bonne qualité ✅ position des bols modulable ✅ nettoyage facile et rapide ✅ très bonne qualité de fabrication ✅ excellent rapport qualité-prix Les moins: ❌ taille des bols un peu juste pour un gros chat

Nach langer Suche nach funktionalen, aber auch optisch schönen Futternäpfen hab ich mich am Schluss für diese Entschieden. Die Futternäpfe sehen in Person nochmals viel besser aus. Das "Zusammenbauen" ist kinderleicht. Man kann die Futternäpfe waagerecht oder in einer Schräge in die Halterung schreiben und schon kann das Essen rein. Die Näpfe lassen sich wunderschön einfach reinigen und sind dadurch sehr pflegeleicht. Selbst wenn man ein Essensstück eingetrocknet ist und fest hängt, löst er sich unter Wasser völlig Problem los. Genauso wie die Näpfe lassen sie die Halterungen dafür reinigen. Das einzige was ich anmerken muss, ist dass die Näpfe nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr optimal in das Gewinde passen. Dadurch sind sie eher Lohse in der Halterung. Zwar bleiben die Näpfe trotzdem an Ort und Stelle, jedoch klappert es nun manchmal wenn die Katzen darauß essen. Was aber für mich mein großes Problem ist, aber erwähnt werden sollte. Trotzdem sehe ich in den Näpfen eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
