The hooks are verysturdy plastic which glides smoothly on the rails. They are squared off, and come down further.As a result, they stay on the rails much better.If that matters to you, then they could be worth the extra cost.Pro's -(compared to "Standard" hanging folders)Folders are reinforced and top and bottom.Glide very smoothly on rails.Hanging bar seems thicker and stronger.Hook end is longer.Stays on rail better.Poly reinforced - Looks like clear tape on tops and bottom of folder.Cons -a bit more expensiveI recommend this product. 5 Stars.

These are strong and sturdy, and the extra leg on the hook really keeps the jackets on the track nicely!

Quality and colors!
High quality folders that I'm sure will last a long time. I have ~35 pages in one folder and it holds up just as well as the less encumbered folders - no creases or signs of strain!I use these to keep a variety of papers from tax information to medical information to lease agreements, quite a few of which are printed on legal-sized paper. These are true to size and I do not have to fold edges on any papers.I also love the bright, multi color folders as they make organization easy. Tabs are included and each folder has multiple slots for each tab to fit into in order to best customize the appearance of each folder for optimal sorting.If I need more folders, I will buy these again.
