This book should be in every climber’s self-care kit
I have been rock climbing for about 40 years, and am painfully aware - literally - of the debilitating effect of sport-specific injuries. I have been using this book for more than a year, and found it very helpful, in several ways: first, it explores human anatomy to better explain the mechanics of different problems. Second, it includes an array of self-care tools and techniques. Third, there is a strong emphasis on preventive maintenance. Overall, this book is a great resource, whether you are just coming back from an injury, or looking to prevent one.

Review on climbing injuries solved
This book is targeted self-care in injury prevention and rehabilitation from climbing related injuries. This doesn't replace professional help though.The small problem with a book is related to text formatting, such as cross referencing to figure or part of the book, which have few pages difference. Personally, I didn't like mixed fonts and small space between lines. It made it harder to read.I recommend this book also the book "one move too many" to climbers in any level of beginners to elites, injured or not injured.

Pretty disappointing for the price
Pretty disappointing for the price. Poorly edited and contains way too much jargon and too many unexplained terms. More injury-specific exercises would be helpful too, rather than the usual "improve mobility and increase strength." On the positive side, I really like the emphasis on self-maintenance and assessing for asymmetry in strength or mobility.

So Helpful
This book is great. Climbing is full of overuse injuries and this has helped me deal with my elbow and shoulder. This combination of information and advice works!

Great book
Great book Helps with chronic elbow lateral epicondylitis. I think that it is not a cure all and you need to learn how to strengthen and train antagonistic muscles in order to prevent recurrences. This is in my opinion where the book may fall short. It may be a difficult read for some people

super detailed!
I bought it because of a tendon pain in my elbow and was curious about future preventative care. I opened the book and there is so much detail about anything and everything you can thing of in the realm of injuries and solutions!

Knowledge, new techniques of recovery
Thats my new recovery Bible, after "one more, too many" from Petzl. Great articles from a doctor, who climbs.

This book solved my 2-year run of shoulder problems! ...
This book solved my 2-year run of shoulder problems! I visited numerous doctors and physiotherapist without help. Using the book I self-diagnosed bursitis caused by weak rotator cuff muscles. Using the physiotherapy in the book (one stretch and two strengthening workouts) I have recovered - hooray!
