Armor WL550 Deep Penetrating Solvent-Based Matte Wet Look 5 Gallon Concrete Sealer - Professional Grade Long Lasting Matte Wet Look Sealer For Concrete, Brick, Flagstone, Bluestone, Slate, and Masonry

I have used this Armour WL550 product in the past and was pleased with its ease of application, level of protection, final look, and long-lasting protection. I used it on both my pool deck pavers and my house's brick siding. The water no longer penetrated the pavers or brick; it beaded up and dried much more quickly. This has slowed down or eliminated the mold and algae that we were getting during the hot, humid Florida summer.

The WL550 sealer was easy to apply and gave color enhancement just like we had hoped for. Our stone doesn’t look dry and dusty anymore. It also seems to keep moisture and water from penetrating and it is not slippery. I pressure washed first then I applied it 3 days later to a 900sf flagstone/mortar walkway and retaining wall with a cheap pump sprayer. I used 6 gallons and it seemed to give a good uniform coverage rate with consistent color and appearance. I though I might need a second coat but after letting dry for a couple of days I realized I didn’t. It’s been almost a month and I’ve had no issues, I believe it’s a good quality product. It does have a fairly strong odor when applying but not overpowering. I would recommend and I’ll buy again when needed.

Super easy to apply. I chose to use a painters pole with a roller to apply and it was super easy to apply to our flagstone under our pergola, around our fire pit as well as our pavers that surround our hot tub. It brought out a beautiful wet look and enhanced their colors as well as being a water repellent when it rains. I went out after the first rain and saw something I had never seen before and this was the water beading on the stone instead of sinking in. This will preserve our flagstone for a long time. I have tried other products that leave a film on the surface, but this looks all natural! Excellent product. I used a 5 gal bucket for our area of about 700 sq ft and still had a little left over.

The results in the images speak for themselves. I initially started with a sprayer that I thought was suitable for this product. Unfortunately, the sprayer stopped working shortly after I started. So, against the instructions, I used a half inch nap roller to apply. I used a brush around the edges. The results turned out great and I had no issues with application. I used it on a brick patio which absorbed a lot of the material. I found that adding a heavy coat worked well as long as I continue to roll and left no puddles. Update. Went back to the same house about 6 months later. Bricks no longer had the wet look to them. Both customer and I were disappointed. They may still be sealed, but don't look near as nice as they did the day I finished.

This product more than satisfied our needs to seal our brick patio. Nice wet look while providing water resistance. I will go further. We bought their other product AR350 concrete sealant that we use on our stamped concrete. We bought in order to apply to the brick patio. We found out after the product arrived that this product does not work well with the brick pavers. We asked for a return. Not only did the nice customer service rep agree to a return for full credit, but he sent samples of this WL550 and another product to try on the patio. He explained the process of application and answered all of our endless questions with solid listening skills and willingness to help. We bought this product and without his prompting we bought their stainless steel acetone sprayer to apply the chemical to our brick patio. Great customer service leads to more sales! Great business. I am now one of their best fans!!!!

You need a lot of this sealant if the brick is old - so be aware. Order more than you think you need as the chances are you’ll want to do another coat to seal everything well. But it is easy to apply- I used my airless paint sprayer - it worked well on my repaved pathway made of the same bricks that are 25 years old but can still last another 10-15 years if taken care off. I am planning on resealing in a year or two.

I purchased this product because the reviews were good and didn’t mind spending extra money so it would look good. Turns out the product is very difficult to use because it’s very finicky. You have to have the right temperature at the right time of day which is nearly impossible. Even though I followed all the steps did it after the sun set and finished it into the dark it still came out very hazy and white. I cleaned off the patio and let it dry for two days. Then out of the first coat let that dry and out of the second coat. I thought after the first coat I just needed a second because it looked a little white but when adding the second coat it just made it worse and even more white. I emailed foundation armor and they sent me one email two days later saying to tr y another chemical to help resolve the issue because it was too hot when I installed it. It was 80° and in the shade. I would not get this product again because it’s way too difficult to use or maybe it just never would have worked regardless of how perfect the situations were Foundation armor has not responded to my second email and they do not want to take responsibility for ruining my pavers. Do not buy this!!!!! Try another product.

Used this on pool deck, flagstone patio, decorative stone around pool and chopped stone border of flower gardens. I pressure washed everythigng and gave it a few days to dry before using the product. I primarily used a pump sprayer with viton seals except close to the pool where I rolled/brushed it to keep the product out of the pool water. Product was very easy to work with and had excellent coverage for my project. The end result was a deeper color, especially on the flagstone patio and water beads up nicely but without making the treated area slippery. There were a couple of brick thresholds around my patio that I used this on as well and it really made those come back to life. I think this product would be an excellent choice for a brick patio or on pavers. Another nice thing is that the 5 gallon bucket has a pull tab that brings up a small funnel that makes pouring the product much easier. Overall, really happy with this purchase.
