OTTERBOX COMMUTER SERIES for Samsung Galaxy S8 - Frustration FRĒe Packaging - AQUA MINT WAY (AQUA MINT/MOUNTAIN RANGE GREEN)

I wanted to love my otterbox, and I did, but I am very disappointed. When I first put the case on my phone, I thought, "wow. I've never had a case this nice before." but, one week after getting this case, I dropped my phone. The screen cracked (even with a tempered glass screen protector) and I now have to buy a new phone.

In my opinion the Otter Box Commuter model is the best there is, i have had it for multiple phones and it always holds up great and I've never damaged a phone.What I like:1. Rubber inside, hard shell outside - cases with rubber on the outside make it impossible to get in and out of your pocket easily and on top of that they trap dirt and grime. the commuter series puts the rubber where it matters, on the inside, against the phone, that way it acts as both a cushion and dampener. With the plastic on the outside, you get a smooth feel, and an easy in out of your pocket, and it holds up really nicely. other cases with plastic inside and rubber outside end up damaging the phone by rubbing on it or an impact transfers to the plastic and the plastic breaks your phone.2. Color choices - nothing complex to say here, they have great color choices3. Durability - i have had a commuter case for years on many phones and it just lasts, simple and plane4. Simple installation, case doesnt break when installing and uninstalling - many cases i have had break over time from assembly and disassembly and or are a pain in the backside to put on your phone, the commuter is very easy to install and remove and because of that isnt damaged from installing and uninstalling multiple times5. profile - its thin, super thin, but thick where it needs to be, protruding just above the screen so that if you drop it face down, it acts as a shield and prevents your screen from smacking the floor.I recommend always using a zag shield screen protector in pair with any case. they last and have a lifetime warranty and ive used them for years in pair and have yet to break a phone or screen.

I got one of the knockoffs because the significant other wanted the same colors as her old S5 had and Otterbox no longer makes that for the S7 but the knock offs do. Are yo listening Otterbox and your limited colors?So, anyway, the Knock off isn't bad and works. I was a little surprised, BUT it definitely is not of the same quality as an Otterbox. I got her an Otterbox because I noticed that the seams and plastic were not quite right in the fit as you snap the two parts together and figured she would notice too and not like it. But no, she didn't notice and was glad to have her colors back, so there. But if you are discerning and want the best, get the Otterbox and live with your color choices.

I usually always get the commuter series otterbox when I buy a new phone. They are durable and do a great job at protecting the phone when you drop it! Before I bought this case this time, I went with another brand that had more color options, and I regret it. I had a cracked screen within a week, which I partially blame on the poor screen style that they made with the S8 (round edges, really!?). This case protects the screen more because the rubber part sticks out farther than the screen so the screen isn't rubbing on the table when it is face down, or hitting the sidewalk directly on it's face in my case.Definitely buy this from amazon, if you go to Best Buy they are 60 dollars!!

I used to swear by another brand until their quality went down to the point that all the rubber would peel off the case within 6 months or so. I finally got fed up and decided to spend a little more for Otterbox cases and haven't looked back since. Our family has Galaxy S8s and all three are in Otterbox cases and we've had no issues, even with my daughter dropping hers at least once a week. The "other" brand has rubber ridges on the back, so these smooth back cases demand a little more attention when holding it, but the added protection and the giant leap in quality is well worth the extra price.

Love the color and the case fits well. My only problem which is why I could not give it a 5 star rating is that the soft inner part of the shield should provide a little more coverage. It does not completely cover the edge of the soft screen protector (I used the one that seemed to be recommended by OtterBox). This may be the reason my screen protector is already starting to peel up on one corner after only about a week of use. I won't be sure about that until I apply a different brand of screen protector. Other than that problem, I am satisfied with the case and will simply apply another screen protector soon.

This has to be one of the best cases I have purchased. It is very durable. I drop my phone all the time. I have yet to break anything or really even damage the case. It has a few little scratched on the hard plastic from dropping it on concrete. I really like how the front has a lip around the outside of the screen. It does really well at protecting your screen when you drop it face down. This style of case is the best if you like lightweight and thin. It hardly feels like you have a case on it. I can't stand the other otter box cases that are huge and bulky. This one does the job for it's size. It is also easy to use if you have smaller hands. The only downfall I have found to this case is that it stains so easy. I went with the teal colored case. The back is so dirty looking. The surface on the case is a little rough. So everything stays on it. If you are a person that is constantly working on something (crafts, cars, paint) do not get a light color. If I have to get a new case it would be a dark color. I would highly recommend this case for someone that wants good protection but also lightweight.

This phone case replaced an identical model (aside from colour) that had cracked and broken the corner off of after dropping it a few times (I'm hard on my phones). I'd rather it take the shocks than the phone though. However, one annoying feature of this phone is the colour - for some reason this lighter tourquoise reflects off windows, so you can't take pictures out of windows without having the phone reflection show up (unless it's touching the glass or you're several feet or more away). My old one was a darker purple colour and I never had that problem. Note that you need to buy a separate protector for the front of the phone if you want that protection.

The first layer is a nice rubber case that absorbs the impacts and helps with grip. However the exterior layer is a hard slippery plastic. After 6 months of use it cracked on the bottom. At least my phone is intact after falling many times.

Bin ein Fan von der Otterbox gibt es leider nicht immer für alle Handys aber naja man kann nicht alles haben.

Had this for a while and it definitely works, I drop my phone alot, from high places to hard surfaces. It did finally crack but still works great, I'll have to get a new one soon.
