Vivid, Vibrant and Bright! Great Performance and Value!
I recently purchased this LED Strip for a home project that involved lighting. I paired this purchase with the "Alarmpore Power Adapter, Transformers, Power Supply For LED Strip, Output 12V DC, 5A Max, 60 Watt Max, with 5.5x2.1mm DC Output Jack" to power the LED Strip and the "Alarmpore Wireless Mini RF LED Remote Controller 14Key 300 Color Modes SP103E for DC 12V WS2811 Dream Color LED Strip Module Pixel Light Lamp" to control the color values of the LEDs themselves. The power adapter listed was the perfect fit for this LED Strip and I would highly recommend it if you are in need of a power solution for this LED strip. On top of this, I used the LED Controller listed above and it worked almost perfectly out of the box, all I needed to do was quickly reprogram the buttons to the RGB values of this particular LED Strip and it was all set! This LED Strip in particular is very vibrant and bright, offering a high-range of different colors. This strip was able to nearly light my entire room without the need for any other bulbs and I was able to replicate the entire RGB spectrum along with pure white, all of which worked great and different brightness levels as well. This strip is equipped with 300 individual LEDs with 100 different zones of control which offers great control over different sections of the strip. If you're seeking a more customized experience, you could easily flash Aircoookie's "WLED" software onto an ESP8266 board such as the Adafruit Feather HUZZAH for a cheap Wi-Fi solution as well. I ended up doing this for my project and the LED Strip looked fantastic. The LEDs are packed tightly together with only about 3/4" between them which looks very bright and full as well. I could also recommend purchasing an LED Strip channel and diffuser layer, as well as the transition between LEDs, would look even better. I plan on adding this to my project in the near future.

As Advertised
I used 9 of these 12v strips to outline my house during Halloween and Christmas and they work as advertised. They come with two sets of wires soldered onto both ends so you can inject power easily. I replaced the standard male/female connectors by soldering waterproof 3Pin pigtail connectors onto the existing wires and wrapping the soldered area with shrinkwrap. Although these are flexible strips and will curve around things (trees, posts, bushes) they do NOT bend around corners. If you want to outline a window you will need to cut them at the solder marks and solder on new ends. And the solder spaces are teeny, tiny little things so if you have a shaky hand ask a friend to do the soldering.Cutting the ends also means that you need to re-waterproof where you cut the strip (and the plastic cover) after you solder on the new connectors. I used a hot glue gun to fill the cut ends where the wires solder onto the strip so water couldn't seep in. At first, I was worried about the hot glue ruining the pixels it touched, but it did not affect them. I ended up filling the plastic cover end with glue approx. 1 1/2 inches past the first pixel anywhere I cut them and they are all working fine.As another reviewer mentioned when they are set to white they are not bright white but have a somewhat dimmer, almost purplish hue to the white. Didn't bother me one bit and is barely noticeable. It's still white. One of the strips I bought was coded to BRG but all the other ones are RBG. Again, not a big deal, but when I set up the lights in the Vixen Lights sequencing software I had to be sure to set the correct color code. If you don't then when all the other strips flash red the odd coded strip will flash blue or green.I used Vixen Lights to sequence the strips to music, and a HolidayCoro Alphapix 4 controller to run them. Finally, I powered all 9 strips off of one 360 watt 12v power supply. Because my house only sits about 30 feet back from the sidewalk I powered the strips at 20% of their brightness. At 50% the lights were way too bright and at 100% brightness I probably would have gotten a citation from the FAA for interfering with air traffic.

Make sure you know what you’re getting in fk
The media could not be loaded. Great little strips. Originally I was looking for 60 pixels per meter but have 20 pixels (every 3 diodes) worked out well. I’m using them with diffusion tracks for a broadcast concert set up, I’ve attached a video to show how they fare to regular 12V led tape. I had no issues getting new connectors soldered on and everything communicated properly.

Confusing photos
The media could not be loaded. Used this strip leds in my Father Frost staff DIY project. Not expensive, and works nice. The only thing I didn't like is the strip looks like solid with silicone protection on photos, but in reality its just a rubber shell and the strip just lay inside and can easily be removed.

Overall they’re great but
It would be nice It you could cut multiple strands to achieve a specific length seamlessly. If there is a way please let me know. I need a 14’ run then a seamless turn for another 12’. I don’t want a 3” empty spot in the middle. If this is possible I would rate them 5 Star

Raspberry Pi project
Bought this strip to run across my gaming setup and decided to make it into a nice little project while i'm at it. Created a local webserver that has a GUI which can interact with the raspberry pi and adjust the lights to the UI and all works nicely! Only downside that was an overview on my part was that it did not come with a power supply but that was easily fixed with a 12v 80W power supply .

great product, but one small problem
great product, works good, looks great, but the backing strip does not stick well at all. had to use straps, but other than that, is a good product.

LED light with great potential
The media could not be loaded. This LED light has bright and accurate colors. It requires the controller, In the video I have used one of my DIY controller. It is based off of WS2811 chip so it requires only 1 wire to control the LED. It heats up when kept coiled around the packing so make sure to uncoiled before using it. It comes with adhesive layer for easy application.
