Works very good!
Killed all the rats in 3 days which was very surprising. It did come smaller then I thought it would be. Just be careful with pets tho my cat ended up licking it and threw up a lot but it did survive and it's okay now.

Bromethalin is very effective. Affordable too.
The active ingredient in this rodenticide is bromethalin.Unlike first and second generation rodenticides which function as anti-coagulants, bromethalin is a neurotoxin, making it far more effective and faster. First and second generation rodenticides usually require a rat to eat quite a bit of the poison, then you have to wait another 5 to 7 days for the creature to die. Usually more than a week passes before the creature died. This doesn't sound like much, but a week of damage in your garden or in your house can be rather significant. With Bromethalin, one single lethal dose is all that is required to kill the creature. The rat usually dies around 3 days later.Bromethalin, because it is so effective, is also very toxic to humans and pets, so it is far more likely to affect non-targeted creatures too.You will need to wear gloves as it can be absorbed through the skin. Be careful not to inhale small dust particles, although that is unlikely to happen as it comes in blocks. There is no antidote available for Bromethalin poisoning, should someone ingest it, so be very careful if you have kids or pets in the backyard.Unlikely first and second generation rodenticides that are generally less toxic to groundhogs and opossums, bromethalin will kill them. They are not meant to be used that way and it may even be illegal in some areas to kill these creatures using bromethalin, so try not to leave these lying around in your garden in the open. You might end up with more than just dead rats. The same goes for any pets in the area. It is advisable to only use Bromethalin in suitable devices that have a small hole large enough for mouse or rats.Bromethalin is an effective tool for controlling the population of mice and rats in your garden. I really like this product as it is effective, yet affordable too. I find that I use less of this compared to less effective rodenticides. I prefer the blocks compared to the small rice-like granules packets. The granular packets often contain too much bait every per packet. The blocks are much easier to spread and are a smaller portion too. They fit well in mice traps. Using one or two at a time is enough for a particular spot, so they last a long time. There is one thing to note: These are best suited for outdoor or garden use. The reason is that if you use these indoors, the rats are likely to end up dying behind a wall, in the air vent, or in some unknown corner of the house. The smell is not pleasant and can last for a few weeks. If you are looking to handle mice that are inside the house, I would recommend getting an electric mouse trap. That way, they do not end up rotting behind some furniture or wall. This rodenticides are best reserved for outdoor use.

Mice repeatedly nibble TOMCAT Bait Chunx; Unclear how well this formulation actually kills the mice
My home was recently invaded by what at the time seemed like a mob of mice. The first clue was that the TOMCAT Bait Chunx blocks I routinely leave out in my laundry room and attic were aggressively attacked and consumed. (Note: I have no children or pets in my home so there is no chance of accidental poisoning by consuming some of the bait.) I replaced the TOMCAT Bait Chunx blocks and over 5 days the mice would return during the evening hours and consume more of the bait.I was losing patience waiting for the TOMCAT Bait Chunx (active ingredient: Bromethalin @ 0.01% concentration by weight/volume) to kill the mice. I next purchased a 4 lb pail of TOMCAT Bait Chunx on Amazon to ensure that the bait was fresh with maximum potency. I proceeded to place fresh TOMCAT Bait Chunx, each day, on the laundry room shelf where the mice had been feeding. The mouse (mice?) continued to feed each evening, usually twice nightly. To encourage the mouse (mice?) to eat more of the TOMCAT Bait Chunx bait block I started adding a small amount of peanut butter to the open ends of the TOMCAT Bait Chunx blocks. Amazon sells KONG brand dog/pet peanut butter treat in a squeeze tube. This pet treat is mostly peanut butter in a tube, makes it easy add peanut butter to the open holes on the ends of the TOMCAT Bait Chunx with minimal mess.So basically at this point the mouse (mice?) had trained me to clean up their mess each morning and place a nice cold supper plate of TOMCAT Bait Chunx with peanut butter for their dining pleasure. After diligently trying the bait route for another week I dug out my well used V snap trap.I baited the V snap trap with a small piece of bacon (not too crispy). I let the mouse (mice?) explore the V snap trap with the spring not compressed. After two more nights I set the V snap trap, this time tying the bacon to the bait bar of the V snap trap so that the mouse could not grab the bacon and escape. I dabbed the tiniest amount of of the KONG peanut butter treat on the bait bar of the trap. I placed the snap trap close to a fresh TOMCAT Bait Chunx block; this time I only applies a very small amount of the KONG Peanut Butter treat to the TOMCAT Bait Chunx block to encourage the mouse to seek out the peanut butter on the snap trap. It worked, I caught one mouse using the old reliable V snap trap.Separately I caught two more mice in my attic using my Rat Zapper Ultra electronic trap (also purchased on Amazon). I baited the electronic trap with a small amount of real peanut butter placed in a bottle cap.I have no way of knowing if the mice I caught with the V snap trap and the electronic trap were tripping balls as a result of having consumed more than a week's ration of the TOMCAT Bait Chunx but they (the mice), definitely went towards to light and whatever comes next. Before I caught the laundry room marauder mouse I surprised the mouse while it was feeding on the TOMCAT Bait Chunx block. Byy this time I knew the laundry room mouse's dining schedule to within a half hour. I was able to follow where the mouse went as it climbed up the wall to escape the beam of my flashlight. I later inspected the area and found a large gap in the mortar between the top of two concrete foundation blocks. I have since sealed the hole with caulk and a KTOJOY Stainless Steel Wool Scrubber pad (also purchased on Amazon.) As to whether the TOMCAT Bait Chunx with Bromethelin (0.01%) effectively kills mice, I would need a rematch.
