Great for the price. Well made and in tune. I used a chromatic tuner (free app) and found both ocarinas to be relatively within tune (depending on how hard or soft you blow, it varies slightly, but in tune overall). I compared this with the Ocra Wind 12 hole Ocarina ($29.95), which has great reviews (also an "AC"/ Alto C). That was slightly heavier, but appeared to be made the same. It even matched the 6 hole ocarina that came with this one. This 12 hole ocarina from Honiday is slightly lighter and trimmer, more comfortable to hold, and I feel it has a better resonance, plus for slightly more, you receive the 6 hole ocarina, stands for both, necklaces, case, booklet and 2 digital e-books (sent via email in two separate emails), etc... Very good price and quality for what you receive. I also compared it to the Focalink AC plastic ($29.95), which was highly recommended for beginners and is purported to be very in tune. I personally did not like the resonance or feel of that ocarina as much as the ceramic ones. I will also warn anyone away from buying any of the Zelda Ocarinas out there because they are notoriously out of tune. The booklet with this set of ocarinas also gives clear finger charts (12 hole only) with the sheet music equivalent, which not all of them do. Some compare fingers to a numeric charts while others give a "DO RE MEI" equivalent. I prefer the sheet music equivalent, so that was important to me. Once you learn the finger placements for the notes, you can play any sheet music for c instruments and recorder sheet music is especially compatible for use with the 12 hole ocarina since the octave range is comparable. If you want more complex octave ranges you need to look into double and triple chamber ocarinas, but they are more expensive and more for experienced players. You can also find finger charts and sheet music online as well as for quick and easy song play right away, for 12, 6, & 4 hole ocarinas (Pinterest has a ton of them you can download for free). Overall, I feel that these are good quality, in tune ocarinas, that I would recommend to anyone as a beginner or experienced player. A great starter set/gift, and a very good deal for the cost, especially with the 10% off coupon!

The ocarinas are made of a durable, nice quality material. The larger one is a bit hefty so I appreciate the string holder for occasional drops. I don't use the added holders as I can't seem to prop the large one up on the stand (it seems too heavy and I've tried placing it exactly as pictured). The other holder came broken but I'm sure if I wanted a replacement, customer service would be attentive- I just didn't want to send the entire thing back just for a holder.These are great for beginners and it gives you two styles to learn.

I have been playing with this set of ocarinas for a few weeks now. When I received them, some notes sounded great while others sounded off. I considered returning the items, but after looking inside the holes, I noticed clumps of clay around various holes. I took a couple of hook tools and carefully cleaned up and rounded the insides of the holes. I would remove material and play a quick scale to check the sound and after about 20 minutes of work the ocarinas are sounding great! For the price I would definitely consider buying again.

The Ocarina is great, I love this ocarina that being said it is my first so I am not an expert. I didn't read fully and accidentally deleted the email that had the e-books on them, my bad. That being said the hand holders for the ocarina sort of suck every time I try the use them they fall over with Ocarina I am always so scared it will break them. It looks really nice and it is a really good deal for the price. Maybe I am just not using the holders correctly.

The media could not be loaded.  I have a few other ocarinas that I have been playing for quite some time now and I've been looking to experience other ocarina brands in an attempt to expand my collection. So I figured that this one was worth a try.This ocarina fits for professional perfommer like me. I was shocked by its quality and accurate tunes.The neck strap is nice looking. It comes detached so you have to tie it on yourself.The last three high notes don't seem to require any special technique to produce a lovely, not too airy tone as well. That's a definite plus.Overall, I'm pleased with the instrument and would like to recommend for both beginners and professionals.

I just received it on March 14th and haven't had much time to play with it yet. However, the picture shows two books?? and the description said something about playing video music beginner...etc. which I took it as the two books are about that. Instead, it comes only with a multiple folds pamphlet. In other words, the picture is misleading.

Nice ocarinas -- you get two in the package. However, you will also get a manual for the 6-hole ocarina in Chinese -- I've yet to receive one in English. The 12-hole pdf manual is very useful, although not always accurate. Honiday is VERY good about responding to emailed questions.

Got this for my daughter as a birthday gift. She is a huge Zelda fan and band so she was thrilled with it. It was the hit of all her gifts.
