Bad instructions. It needs an adult to assemble it.
The instructions are confusing. Many pieces required strong push and they are small for hands of 8 years old. My kid like it the product but it need an adult to help and you will need to do it by yourself the instructions said two different commands for the same ensemble piece and the scale do not match with the pieces.
